Did the Grammys affect your music buying?

Eh, maybe in general, but I highly suspect I’m an exception. When’s the last time Merle Haggard got a Grammy?

Absolutely not. I don’t even follow the Grammys, who is nominated for what, or anything.

I almost exclusively listen to Classical, and since (I am pretty sure) Classical gets less than it’s fair share of coverage during the Grammy show. Why the hell would I sit through a lot of music I have no interest in, so I can see Classical get a few meagre bits of attention during the show?

I just listen and buy what I like.

Hell, not, I haven’t watched the Grammies in more than 20 years.

Sigmundex,
Can I have your Moby CD?

If you want to have cities, you’ve got to build roads.

Certainly not. I think I only own two albums that were ever nominated for Grammys (both of them by Nine Inch Nails), and I already had them both when I first discovered that they were nominated. The Grammys and I simply do not agree on matters of taste one iota.

Heck is where you go when you don’t believe in Gosh.

mmm… hell, no.

I’m not into music as I used to be, but I don’t waste my time on tripe.

I have a friend who will send me tapes of the latest stuff she’s come across worth listening to. So, I take this into account, I read reviews, and I go to my local music store and preview CD’s.

I do have to admit that I was surprised that Moby and Fatboy Slim were considered. Weren’t they or did I hear a runor?

The Grammys were on?

You say “cheesy” like that’s a BAD thing.
