This could be in General Questions, but I figured people here are just as likely to know.

Another thread pointed at this link NIST - SRM Order Request System SRM 2387 - Peanut Butter for standard reference peanut butter (who knew?). Browsing the description, I see that in January there was

"removal of reference values for thiamine, riboflavin, niacinamide, niacin, total vitamin B3, pantothenic acid, pyridoxamine, pyridoxal, pyridoxine, and total vitamin B6 based on NIST’s decision to no longer support these measurement capabilities in this matrix; "

Was NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) subject to political pressure on food standards?

FYI, here is an article from Smithsonian Magazine on the subject of reference materials. This is stuff, like peanut butter, that NIST has carefully analyzed and sells so you can check your testing equipment against theirs.
