Did you believe the new Bambi Woods (of Debbie Does Dallas fame) interview?

The mysterious Bambi Woods, if you don’t know, played the title character in the legendary adult film Debbie Does Dallas. After making a few more movies, she seems to have dropped off the face of the earth. A 2005 British documentary tried to track her down, without success. Even now, her real name, date of birth and place of birth are unknown. There is even conflicting opinion on whether she is still alive.

So it must have been quite a surprise when the website Yesnobutyes was approached by a woman claiming to be Woods and agreeing to do an email interview. Naturally, the woman offered no documents or photographs to support her claim. Nor did she relate her real name.

Well, what do you make of it? Do you think her claims are believable? I’m somewhat skeptical. I don’t see why a woman who now professes to be a well-off respectable housewife and mother (not to mention one who’s been this reclusive for this long) would now want the attention and the aggravation that comes with it by essentially “telling all” to a blogger.

I can’t open it now- does it contain any insight that “only she would know”, or is it a bunch of a generalties?

She seems to be pretty vague through a lot of it. She even remains unsure of how she came to be called Bambi Woods. She makes a few references to some clubs she frequented and some celebrities she hobknobbed with at the time. But that’s the problem here. Since no one really knows who she is, how do we know what only she would know?

In an epilogue to the interview, she has offered to do an audio interview, provided someone comes up with a sizable donation payable to charity.

Good point- maybe they could ask her to describe the color of the couch they banged her on or whatever :slight_smile:
