I know the title sounds odd, but please bear with me. Sometime after October 2006, I read a post here about Matthew Faulkner, a little boy who had been diagnosed with leukemia when he was 6 months old.
I cannot remember who posted it, and my search came up dry. Does this ring any bells for anyone?
His father (mother?) is a Doper (well, guest now) by the handle of Redfrost, as noted in this thread. I remembered the thread, and in fact it’s the one that prompted me to register as a marrow donor.
And oh bloody fuck - I just read the Caringbridge page and Matthew died today
Yeah, that’s why I was posting. I got hooked on his Caring Bridge journal from a Dope thread, and have been following his ups and downs ever since. I was crying my eyes out over that brave little boy yesterday (and today).
When my Dope search proved futile, I did find an email address for Redfrost. I know this OP was poorly worded, but I couldn’t think of a… well, nice… way to title it, considering the situation. Thanks for the link to the thread, Mama Zappa.
