My kittehs had a can of Friskies Tasty Treasures Turkey and Cheese. I don’t know how much actual turkey was in it.

The cats shared a can of turkey limited ingredient diet cat food, and got bites of actual turkey as well.
Our chickens will get some leftovers. They love meat but not into cannibalism.
We didn’t have turkey at my house, but the family flock of parrots did get some bits of rice, pita bread, tahini, and a taste of lambchop. But mostly bird food, some banana, and a couple pomegranate bits.
Yes. I ate at my parents’ and one of their cats has terminal cancer and has been losing a lot of weight. Her appetite has been poor and she’s supposed to be fed on demand at the moment, so when she began circling the table and showing interest in our meal, we were relieved and fed her turkey right out of the serving dish. It was received with an enthusiasm that has been absent lately, so more has been saved for later. Poor kitty.
Yes. My dog got some turkey, potatoes, and stuffing. But only twice a year. Thanksgiving and Christmas. This is his eleventh holiday with me.
Oddly enough I never thought of offering turkey to pets on turkey day, although I will offer in the future if the occasion arises. My family does, however, remember to get the pets presents on Christmas.
I carve the turkey. My first pass gets all the suitable-for-photography white meat. Second pass is for the dark meat platter. At that point I have the turkey skeleton, from which I pick off the dogs’ share.
Isidore the Indian Ringneck Parrot got a small piece of turkey after refusing carrots (which he usually loves) and squash. He knows to hold out for the good stuff.
The Danes got all the loose little bits, swept up and blended into their food. The older one stole some big fatty/skin bits off a plate, so we got horking dog this morning…
Mr. Meow the Loudmouthed Meowsers got a bit of turkey and ham.
He’s been my bestest buddy all night long.
My cat got some turkey scraps while I was carving the bird.
Our dogs had turducken last night. Okay, it was canned, but it was at least *labeled *turducken.
I’ve had a lot of dogs that ate turduckens, but they found them in the back yard.
Every cat we’ve had was mad for turkey.
Not our current three.
sobs Where did we go wrong?
We have a barfy cat that can only have vet-provided hypo-alergenic kibble, so no.
I’ve never researched it, but our vet has told us that turkey is not good for dogs to eat. That’s why you see canned dog food made from chicken, but not usually turkey. It’s a moot point in our house this year, though, since the death of our Sheltie, Lady, last month; we are now petless for the first time in 30 years or so.
Dawg got some leftover turkey and ham today. That will make her run into the kitchen every time the refrigerator door opens.
I’m not into cannibalism, either, but that doesn’t stop me from eating pigs and cows. Cannibalism does not consist in eating members of the same class as oneself.
I accidentally fed our cat the last can of turkey cat food in the house on Wednesday night, so he got chicken. I don’t think he cared - they both had gravy, and that’s what’s important.
