Me, too–I prefer the diet version of most soft drinks.
I love the diet vanilla Coke. I never thought I’d like a Coke product, but that I do.
First time I tried diet Dr. Pepper, I thought it was horrendous. This was a long, long time ago, though, and they might have played with the flavour since then. If I see diet cherry vanilla Dr. Pepper, I’ll give it a try, based on this thread.
You can hardly taste the vanilla. Not that I was surprised; there were already enough flavors competing for the drinker’s attention before the vanilla got thrown in the mix.
I’m completely addicted to the stuff. If I keep buying it at the rate I have been recently, investing in Dr Pepper stock might be a good idea. Actually, I believe Dr Pepper is owned by Cadbury-Schweppes now. Mmm, Cadbury.
I love it. It’s delicious. Vanilla/cola drinks like Vanilla Coke and Pepsi are repulsive, but the combination of cherry and vanilla and Diet Dr Pepper is really good. The cans are pretty too.
I dunno. I really like Diet Dr Pepper, but… it seems there are too many flavors in DCVDrP. It ended up (to me, obviously), tasting almost like regular old Diet Dr Pepper but a little bit different. But I didn’t really taste the cherry or vanilla, so I’m left with something that vaguely annoys me. I’ll stick with just plain diet.
But I will admit, as a die-hard diet pop drinker, that I’m tickled at companies finally making funky flavors in DIET instead of just regular versions!
Oh, and some friends of mine were trying to think of other words to stick onto the name. We came up with: Diet Caffeine-free Low-Sodium Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper. Heh heh.
