Found some randomly (not in the coke section, just a few 12 packs) on a shelf at my local grocery. It’s sweet, but not nearly as nastily cloyingly sweet as regular Vanilla Coke (which I hated).
They didn’t have any diet.
All in all, I like it.
I can’t wait until it comes out in diet at my local grocery store. I love Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper and Diet Cherry Coke, so I’m pretty hopeful that this is going to be a yummy new drink for this soda fiend. As long as it doesn’t taste like Vanilla Coke (blergh), I’m going to be happy.
I’m hoarding and buying up all the Lime Coke I can find in this god-forsaken burg. Nothing “Lime” ever lasts, much to my chagrin.
I’ll never forgive Lay’s for the extremely short life they allowed for Chips with Lime and Salt. Vinegar and Salt doesn’t quite cut it, but it’s close.
At least Gatorade has come up with a “Rain” lime flavor to compensate for the loss of “Lime” and “Lime Ice”.

As a cola novelty junkie, I’m eagerly awaiting its arrival . . . As a friend of mine says, the goodness of a soft drink is directly proportional to the number of adjectives in front of its name.
For some reason, Diet Wild Cherry Pepsi seems to be making a resurgence. It’s a nice change of pace. And of course its quality is above average, as we can plainly see from its three adjectives.
I love Diet Wild Cherry Pepsi.

I’m doing the same with the diet vanilla coke, which I hear they’re phasing out. We have 23 “fridge” cases of it so far, and some 2 litre bottles too. The lime tasted too artificial for me, but I really liked diet vanilla coke–it’s the only Coke product I actually liked.
I would definitely try the black cherry vanilla version in diet.
Dr. Pepper smells like marzipan! That’s the discovery we made on New Year’s Eve! We were trying to name the unique scent of it, and I’m sure there’s almond flavouring in it.

I was finally able to try some Diet Black Cherry Vanilla Coke with my lunch yesterday and last night I picked up a couple two-litres (80¢ off at Giant–almost half price). Good stuff.
For those of you who have tried it, is it similar to the Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper? If so, I’m going to love it. I think it shall be my goal this weekend to find some and drink it. I lead such an exciting, fascinating life, do I not?
Not really. It tastes like cream soda with the barest hint of cherry to me.

I am a diet coke purist, nothing but plain old diet coke will do. I am also a cherry fanatic, but not the sweet marachino type cherry.
I picked up a 20oz bottle a few weeks ago, and let me tell you folks I am in love!!!
I swear it tastes like Ben & Jerry’s Cherry Garcia! Especially with a piece of dove dark!

Hmmm … I’m not a huge cream soda fan. I just won’t buy a whole twelve-pack. I’ll pretty much try anything once. It certainly can’t be as vile as that Pepsi Blue stuff was, can it?
Huh. I found the cherry taste a bit overpowering on the first sip then falling to Dr Pepper level.
I tried the Diet Black Cherry Vanilla Coke yesterday. I don’t like diet soda but the vanilla flavoring made it taste really sweet, not diet-y at all.
I haven’t tried it yet but I reallt really like that the ad campaign plays on interracial sex themes.

I tend to love all things lime too, but Lays Lime and Salt or Lays Lime and Hot Pepper (one of the most delicious culinary combos) were terrible. I’m not sure what they used to flavor it, but they tasted like the lime Froot Loops flavor on potato chips. I just couldn’t get over the fact that I kept thinking Froot Loops eating potato chips. These days, I just squirt fresh lime over my chips if I want the citrusy goodness.
I have to try this! Especially since it comes in non-diet! I’ve been dying to try cherry vanilla Dr Pepper but it only comes in diet, which sucks.
I miss Pepsi Blue, personally.
