It must be said that there is a big difference between the US and UK soda taste - ie. diet Coke with lemon in the US tastes like Pledge to me but the UK version is lovely.
I’m in Dublin - south of the county but I go into the city centre fairly often. Where is this place of which you speak? As bf is American, I’d like to try out a few things that he talks about that I go “huh:confused:” at lol…
It’s a little news agent on the bottom of Bagget Road (street?) - top of Pembroke Road. It’s across from the Abrakebabra and cheap booze place… just across the bridge.
News agent perhaps called the Number 8 or summat like that.
Does this sound familiar to you?
btw, i’m 'merican too.
Diet cherry Coke? Must be in the US. Not seen it over here (yet). Would love to have it though.
Diet Dr Pepper is yummy and has come out over here recently as well.
The pre-made Diet Vanilla Coke doesn’t really cut it for me. What I absolutely love is going to Sonic Drive-tru and ordering a Diet Coke with a shot of vanilla. Yuuuuuuuummmmmmmy
I have a problem with all of the Coke derivatives. They don’t taste like Coke.
The reason I love Coke, and, especially, Diet Coke is because of the way it burns as it goes down. That is icredibly thirst quenching.
I can handle the Diet Cherry Coke because it has somewhat of a burn, but is too bland. Cherry Coke is just too darn sweet. Vanilla Coke is horrid. I can’t see why they even attach the “Coke” label. They should call it Vanilla Cola. Diet Vanilla Coke? Do I even need to comment?
I bought a twelve-pack once. I gave away eleven cans and dumped out half of the can I tried to drink. If I want a Diet Vanilla Coke, I will add a teaspoon of Vanilla flavored syrup to a normal Diet Coke. I’ve been doing it for years, and it tastes woderful. IT STILL TASTES LIKE COKE THAT WAY. (Sorry…I did intend to shout).
