I understand it’s finally being released commercially, and San Diego was supposed to be one of the first cities it was launched in, but I haven’t seen it yet. Has anyone seen it? had it? thoughts?

I’ve had it in (pause for dramatic effect)
Lansing MI.
Shrug. I’m not a real cola drinker in the first place, but have grown to like the lemon varities, I didn’t care for this much, but my up to the minute, happenin’ son loves it.
Lady Chance currently lives for the stuff.
It’s only available here (Northern Virginia) as 20 ounce singles. Six packs and such become available the 15th (so I’m told).
Its here in Cleveland.
I’m afraid to try it…
I prefer pepsi myself…hmmmm…chocolate pepsi!
I’ve had it in Syracuse, New York, where it’s in the vending machine in my office building. It’s okay. I get more vanilla in the aftertaste than I do in the actual drink, which bugs me. Not going to replace Dr. Pepper as far as easily available soda goes.
I, of course, grew up on the real stuff in Philadelphia - vanilla syrup in Coke at any diner anywhere. I do dig lemon Pepsi, so I’m glad they finally caved in with vanilla Coke. can’t wait to try it!

'Salright. Not something to go out of you way for. It pales next to a real vanilla Coke made with vanilla syrup as God Intended, similar in lameness to Cherry Coke and Cherry Pepsi.
Pepsi drinker here. Tried a bottle, don’t care much for it. But then, I don’t drink regualar Coke either.
I’ve had it… as Jonathan Chance mentioned, I have only found it in 20 oz. plastic bottles thus far. I found it at gas station convenience stores. I really enjoy it a lot - tastes like a “creamier” coke - quite good. It’s not as vanilla-y as I had hoped it would be, it’s more vanilla extract than vanilla-flavored syrup. Also, we just got a “bottle coke machine” at work which has it too so I’m happy. YMMV but I like it. Give it a try - check the gas station stores.

The board did that - I swear!
We got it last week in Honolulu. I had been waiting in anticipation.
I like it a lot, it tastes great when you burp.
I’ve seen it here in NYC, but everytime I have $1.50 in my hand, I end up walking out with a Corona.
Finally got a 20 oz bottle when I was in Vegas last weekend. It was pretty good, but I agree with most people who say that it needs less Coke and more Vanilla.
I haven’t seen it here yet, and don’t know if I want to try it.
Somebody here has tried it and offered a review.
I liked it. I’ve never poured vanilla extract into a Coke before though. Sounds like something to try mixing tonight. How much vanilla for how much Coke should there be?
Yes, I am that lame. My idea of mixing drinks is putting vanilla extract in a Coke.
It’s pretty good. It’s kinda reminiscent of cream soda, but not as sweet.
Vanilla Coke is usually made with vanilla SYRUP, not vanilla extract. Not sure you would get the effect you’re looking for by using extract, I think it would end up being too bitter or medicinal tasting. A true Vanilla Coke is a sublime blend of sweet vanilla and Coke, kinda like a vanilla ice cream Coke float.
Do you have a Sonic in your neighborhood? If so, try one there, they are quite tasty. Or, also some Dairy Queen’s serve flavored drinks.
I’ve had it. It’s cream soda.
It does taste like cream soda. We have a drug store in town that still has a soda fountain and they make a true vanilla coke.
