I think it’s icky. I took about 3 sips and let Mr. Stargazer have the rest. ew.
I’m about five miles east of wring in East Lansing and they sell it all over the place here. Must be trying to cash in on that almighty college demographic.
I like it too. The burps are yummy.
I’ve had it…I’ve also had a real vanilla coke.
This is no vanilla coke.
It’s vile.
It’s repulsive
If I were to imagine what decades old floorwax tasted like, I’d immediatly think of the aftertaste of Vanillacoke[sup]tm[/sup].
It’s retchiriffic.
Fenris
I think it’s tasty.
It just came out in Connecticut and yesterday my friend bought a 20 oz. I had a swig. It wasn’t anything great, and I don’t think I’d want to drink a whole bottle of it because the aftertaste isn’t that great. All in all a disappointment. However, being a Pepsico shareholder, I’m glad.
Not nearly enough vanilla. Not nearly. But still good.
Can one buy vanilla SYRUP?
Vanilla Coke- Kinda makes you wonder what a Jack Daniels and vanilla coke would taste like. How about a rum and vanilla coke? Personally, I like it. Sure beats the wonderful Lemon Pledge and Diet Coke combo they came out with.
You can get it here in 20oz bottles only, not yet in 6-packs or 2-l bottles yet.
It’s ok, I definitely like Pepsi way more that Coke, though.
Guin- you can buy vanilla syrup in the coffee isles of the groceries - it’s popular out here at least. I’ve put it in my sodas, which tastes a lot better than the vanilla cokes.
I agree wholeheartedly with Fenris.
I’ve had both and this is just nasty. Too nutrasweetlike taste initially followed by a vaguely chemical kind of aftertaste.
It defies description, and not in a good way. Leave it alone and maybe it will die a quick merciful death.
I like Vanilla Coke. I am also a Cherry Coke drinker. Although regular Pepsi is my favorite soft drink.
If you’re expecting something that tastes like a good ol’ fashioned drug-store vanilla Coke, you’re going to be dissapointed. It doesn’t have the right consistancy, nor quite the right taste.
That said, it ain’t half bad: I much prefer it to the Diet Coke with Lemon. Definately needs to be drunk cold however. I’ll probably drink it as a once-in-awhile thing, or the occasional six-pack when/if they come out in this area, but you won’t see me heading to Costco and loading up on the stuff.
<< I want to teach the world to sing… >>
I’d never even HEARD of it (or the original) until this thread. I’m gonna have to look for some vanilla syrup though… that sounds mighty tasty!
Similarly, if I were to think of what decades old Pledge tasted like, I’d immediately think of lemon twist diet Coke.
Diet Pepsi twist, however, is pretty darn good. I have yet to see vanilla Coke around these parts (not that I’ve really been looking, mind).
See, about Cherry Coke-how come you can taste the cherry flavor in the coke, but not the Vanilla? That just bites.
Vanilla Coke is so wonderful…
I am now a corporate whore, as I will follow Vanilla Coke into hell if it means I am given a sip.
Dallas, TX for the record.

Although an avowed Pepsi drinker, I did try it yesterday.
I was not impressed. Not enough vanilla, and too much bite to the Coke.
To those of you hankering for a real vanilla Coke, try Waffle House. The ones here serve it, freshly prepared with extra vanilla syrup if you ask nicely. I think Steak and Shake has that as well.
I bought a gallon from a diner once for like $8.
Esprix
I’m scared to try it. I love regular Coke more than any human should. I want Coke with every meal. Even alongside coffee at breakfast. And with snacks. I don’t do that, mind you, but I want to very much.
If I find anything that makes me like it more… it would be bad.
Any word on Diet Vanilla Coke?
It’s not too bad… as others have said, it’s like a cream soda, but not so cloyingly sweet. I think I prefer the Pepsi twist, though.
Good Lord! Tranq shiling a Pepsi product? What has the world come to…?!
