That thread title was so beautiful it brought a tear to my eye.
I prefer Diet Pepsi, myself, but I wouldn’t turn down a diet coke at 7 am.

Relatedly, despite what my so-called friends say, there’s nothing wrong with ordering a double cheeseburger with bacon and mayo, fries and o-rings, chocolate cheesecake, and a Diet Coke. It’s the taste.
I just need an IV here at work. And a catheter.
FairyChatMom, one thing I do is have a filled pitcher of filtered water in the fridge with some crushed Altoids in it. Peppermint water works wonders, YUM.
I also used to toss half a joly rancher into the water as well, imparts a nice flavor. (Green apple…mmmmm)

Nothing hits the spot in the morning like a Diet Coke, chilled, in a can straight from the fridge, Oh yeeeeeeaah 
. I am never usually more than arms length away from a diet coke (unless I am sleeping).
I drink (prolly far too much) usually about 8 cans a day, unless I am working, then I drink a 2 ltr bottle (and cans at home). I really need to buy shares in the company and get something for my investment

Diet Coke. In a can. Warm or cold, it doesn’t matter to me. As long as it’s in a can. And I bring my own wherever I go. There’s usually a case of it sliding around the bed of my truck. You know, you just can’t trust everyone else to have it on hand just for you.
And they act all offended when you refuse their generous Diet Pepsi offer. That stuff leaves me with a tooothpaste-scum aftertaste.

Yeah, to hell with this “Diet Coke” crap. Chai Latte with vanilla! Best damn drink in the known world. Oh yes.
Even better when drank through a Caramel Creme Tim-Tam … but I doubt many people have tried that, as Tim-Tams are Australian and Chai is very difficult to find there, from what I understand. 
Shera, you should try making some Chai mousse sometime, let me tell you, that’s a fluffy slice of Heaven right there …

However if you must drink Diet, drink Diet Coke. Coke in all forms is superior to any other carbonated beverage.

What if you only drink diet? I lost five pounds when I switched from regular to diet.
I am definitely a Diet Pepsi chick. There’s something about opening a fresh bottle that makes my heart go pitter-patter.
