I just purchased a new DSC-P9 digital camera. My computer (Dell Inspiron 7500, Win98SE) refuses to recognise the USB drivers I installed from the supplied CD. Any tech-savvy people able to help?

Try http://www.usb-drivers.com – you might be able to find something that works there.
Did you turn on the usb ports in the bios?
Many times the drivers will be in a specific directory on the directory chain of the CD and not on the root directory
Here is the Win98 driver update you need for your camera
Thanks for your help. I worked it out - eventually. I’d put the drivers on my computer, but it couldn’t find them for some reason. Anyway, after a lot of mucking round, I got the camera working, and a very nice camera it is, too.

I have a new Dell. You just connect the camera to the USB port & Dell uses its own drivers. Nothing else to do.
