Personally I couldnt care less what he acknowledges, as long as he acknowledges it in the privacy of his bitter little mind, and stops littering threads with a trail of “I never said that”, and “I dont care I am right”.

Listen. I personally believe that it is taking Doxy the kind of restraint that takes the horse power of a million thoroughbred stallions not to respond in this thread again. So don’t you be goadin’ her.
When I encounter a poster with opinions I consider overly rigid, I occasionally respond with forum-appropriate mockery. With DtC, I generally have an idea where he’s coming from and fill in the blanks with appropriate qualifiers myself. But most don’t do that:
Yeah, this place resembles junior high. Someone must always be the designated punching bag. Honestly, I’m surprised that Dio has found himself in that slot. Let’s see: Israeli settlers in occupied Palestine are criminal, if somebody is a furry Dio thinks they have issues, polyamory is highly dubious and is in fact a bullshit coverup for bad male behavior – these don’t seem to me to be exceptional stances. (Not that I agree with them.) I guess it’s his crisp declarative sentences that get on most people’s nerves, while I find them hilarious. If I cared enough to address such arguments, I’d weigh the evidence for Dio’s contention, weigh the evidence against, and then give my take on the matter. That is, I’d construct an argument that anticipates what my counterpart will say-- rather than immediately chiming in with the (usually obvious) response. Such an approach requires some empathy of course, something that Dio is claimed to lack, but which hardly seems in oversupply in this forum.
On the bright side, I’m glad that it’s occurred to somebody to parody Dio’s stance. If they could imitate his sentence structure effectively, it would be even better. Appropos nothing, the discussion between Nzinga, Seated, Hentor and others on page 8 wasn’t too bad: kudos. Doxy et al: We’re here to fight ignorance. IMHO, simply agreeing to disagree isn’t appropriate outside of MPSIMS.
You’re right, I haven’t but that wasn’t really the point. I was challenging Doxy’s opinion that we should all come into a thread, state our point of view and that be the end of it. I think a continuing back and forth on issues is enjoyable and why a lot of us post here.
I’m kind of curious as to why there was a concerted effort to bully Doxy into not posting anymore. Was this a carry-over from some other thread? Seemed kind of dickish, either way.
