I’m still missing one set of orders. I’m going to let the turn linger until I decide to go to sleep late tonite. If I haven’t received them by then I’ll be forced to issue an NMR. Once the turn is adjudicated I’m going to be posting a message to all players regarding the status of our Austrian player during his absence. I’m going to be asking everyone to weigh in with a response since the participation seems to be waning. I very much do not want to see this game deviate into stagnation just as it begins getting exciting.

As things are starting to get moving again, we get our legs cut out form under us one more time.
Our French player has decided that he will not have time to dedicate to Diplomacy this fall semester and we’re left looking for a replacement player. I’ll look into it further at a later date, since I’m running out of the door now, but I’m hoping that one of the Doper community will be interested in stepping in and taking over the French throne. He’s in a pretty good position and should make for a interesting play. Stay tuned.
I’d be completely willing to take over the French player.
It would be the perfect chance to use coup-de-etat as many times as possible in referring to the French leadership.
If I get this new position, call me “Citizen Jonmarzie.”
Let me point out that France has a longstanding alliance with Russia, and was last seen rushing to the aid of the embattled Soviet Republic. The same aid from the new French leadership would be greatly appreciated.
Jonmarzie, if you’re taking over France, I’ll just have to inform you that the Franco-Italian union was just about to advance into the next stage where we wanted to take over the Mediterranean from that pesky Turkish player

Soup, that’s clearly a misconception. A typical beginner’s mistake. Could have happened to the best of us. 
So, if I’m going to be France, don’t I need some sort of . . . um . . . you know . . . information on how to contact others via the All Knowing One? I’d also need the map, or something.
