Anyone want to try this out and play a game? I’ve set it to have 3 days for orders, two days for retreats, and two days for builds. That gives us 1 full turn per week. The game is called “Straight Dope” (ignore the SDMB one, I screwed it up), and you can find it by searching. Post here or PM me for the password. Please join only if you are serious. This is something you will have to deal with almost daily for perhaps up to the next 3 months.
Ah, there it is, thanks. That looks totally cool. I am going to try to resist the urge to join. Assuming I succeed, is there any “spoiler board” option that would allow me to read everyone’s messages to each other?
In case you guys are wondering, it’s going to randomly assign us countries when the game starts.
Mosier, I think it would be best if you watched one game first before playing. If this is successful, I will definitely put you #1 on the list for next game.
When the Game Room first started, I proposed a Diplomacy game with all communication done in the open in the thread. I still might like to try that some time.
What normally happens is a thread full of commentary, trash-talking, and NFL head coach-style announcements that mean little. But it’s fun.
