Damn I love this game. I’m going to enjoy watching all of you revel in evil laughs and bitterness-errrr-banter.
Speaking of evil laughs:
MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Sorry. I must be experiencing Diplomacy Withdrawal Syndrome. Yes. DWS.
You know…I started this thread hoping you’d be the #1 hackler, Pucette.
Good to see you here.
Better to be the heckler than the hecklee, right?
Hey, JC, when are you gonna update the map?
It’s updated, isn’t it? Click on the link with the date of the first turn - new map should pop up.
Oh and thank you, JC.
I hope my heckling makes you proud
Marseilles holds??? Maeglin, what the heck are you doing? I hope this some devilishly clever plan to feign weakness, or else I’ll be sorely disappointed
You’re kidding, right? Mar H is an excellent move. I wanted things to remain cordial, so chose not to move to Pie. Spa is a huge waste, for it would either move uselessly to Por in the fall or simply sit there. If I had moved to Spa and Italy had moved to Pie, I also would have been screwed.
Everyone knows the Bur > Mar & Spa > Mar fall bounce. Pie would assuredly have supported Spa > Mar, thereby denying me the build and looking like a friggin’ idiot.
Now I exercise the option of either moving to Pie or taking Spa. Both are safe, both prudent, and both have net benefits.
Had the power considerations been different, I would have acted differently. But I believe I selected the appropriate move for the time.
MR
Mar H means that he can wait to see what happens elsewhere. It’s the same reason Venice held.
Maybe we should make the next game "No Holds Mar[sub]red[/sub]
Hmm…point taken. I’ll watch quietly for a bit. (And next time I’ll preview better, too.)
Don’t watch quietly! Who needs that!
Heckle, damn you, heckle!
On another note:
What’s everyone think? Should I start another thread for Game Two or should I invite them to this little party?
Thoughts?
Oh don’t worry, I’ll heckle some more. I’m just going to gather a bit more data first (the fall moves, for example) so that my next comments are better-founded than my last ones were. (It didn’t even occur to me that France was wary of both Germany and Italy…clearly I’m underestimating the level of paranoia here…)
Arch-Duck Ferdie might have an opinion on that:D
J C - Is there a second game? I’d love to kibbitz there as well…
Gp
I’m just enjoying life, here. Got my fleet on the Black, got some armies rolling west- time to crack open a Smirnoff and wait for the carnage.
(Of course, in my other game, my game of lamentation and woe, the one I ranted about which started this new game, France has decided to invade Piedmont and send his fleets after me. Y’know, that really sucks. But worse is him sending out press stating that I’m a lying bastard trying to create anarchy and therefore he is going to destroy me for the good of Europe. I mean, that just fucking hurts. Asshole.)
There is a second game. But the first turn isn’t complete until tomorrow morning.
I’ll think I’ll stick both games heckling in this one thread. Why launch more threads than I have to, right?
You can see the players are starting positions for Dip Adams 936 at

Enjoy.
These same factors that are keeping the rest of you louts and swarthy types safe from my rampaging hoards of tweed suited intellectuals are coming in pretty handy to let me see what the heck you guys are going.
Ooops, time for tea and crumpets. Gotta go.
God Save the Queen
Sir Abe of Babe
Tea and crumpets?
That was the only part of that post I understood.
Tea.
Earl grey.
Hot.
Oh, and I now have begun to receive orders for the second game.
Who’s zoomin’ who?
Where is the smack talk from game two?? Enquiring minds want to know.
Oh yeah, [sub]John Corrado is a lying bastard trying to create anarchy and therefore I am going to destroy him for the good of Europe. [/sub]
Just kidding my good Czar.
