Not only can’t I choose between two nuts when I’ve never tasted one of them, but in the cases in which I have tasted both nuts my preference depends on the mood I’m in and/or on what I’m using them for.
And I don’t know enough about the actors to pick in that one, either.
I can, however, definitely say that I can’t juggle!
You are correct; that’s Kristen Bell (who was also the lead in Veronica Mars, and does ads with her husband, Dax Shepard).
Kristin Stewart played Bella, the female lead in the Twilight movies. Kristen Wiig was a cast member of Saturday Night Live, and was the lead in Bridesmaids.
I picked Bell, as I’ve always enjoyed her work. I find Stewart to have the emotional range of a rock, and I’m not a fan of Wiig’s comedies.
She’s acted in 18 movies since the last Twilight movie, which include lauded roles in a variety of independent films, including an Academy Award nomination So there might be some contradictory opinions on that.
You have seen at least one of Clouds of Sils Maria (2014), Personal Shopper (2016), Seberg (2019), or Spencer (2021)?
My SO and I actually did go to a movie (When In Rome) knowing little more about it than that it starred Kristen Bell. We were sufficiently entertained that we didn’t regret our choice.
It’s easy. Ryan Gosling was a Mouseketeer, Ryan Reynolds sells gin, and Ryan Phillipe played a gay teenager on One Life To Live. There, got it straight?
Keys: I answered ‘purse’ because they’re clipped to the outside of my man-purse *passport case.
Nuts: I checked kola in the never tasted part because I assume the intact nut was meant and not the extract. In the bracket I was torn between pine and pistachios and wished they’d been paired with one of the ones I had no clue about like pili.
Kristins: I oscillated between Bell and Wiig before settling on the former.
I wear shoes mostly all the time because I need the cushioning. I’ll sometimes slip my shoes off if I’m just sitting and watching TV, but we have an older dog. He sometimes has accidents no matter how well we watch him, and I don’t like the possibility of stepping it.
I pretty much always am wearing socks while I’m at home, but nearly never shoes. If it’s cold in the house, or if I have to venture into the basement in the winter (the concrete slab floor gets quite cold), I’ll wear slippers.
Otherwise, if I have shoes on, and I’m in the house, it’s because I either have just come in from outside, or I’m preparing to go outside.
One of the things I can’t help but notice when watching TV is that everyone always has their shoes on at home, all the time.
It’s glaring to me because I almost never do. I can be out and about all day in public, obviously wearing shoes, and not think twice about it. But the minute I step in the house, they come off. It’s not about cleanliness or propriety or anything; it just feels… not right.
I’m still working from home. Right before I start work for the day I put my shoes on. Having shoes on just makes me feel more like I’m “at work”. Even if I’m physically sitting at a desk in my house, it just feels “wrong” to be working without shoes on. As soon as I’m done with work for the day I take off my shoes off, and may put on slippers depending on the temperature. Having shoes on vs. shoes off helps me create a mental boundary between work and home when I’m not physically going to the office.
So I’m not sure how to answer the poll. I do have shoes on for a good part of the day in my own house, but I think of myself as being at work during that time. When I’m doing the kinds of things mentioned in the poll question – laundry, making dinner, watching TV, etc., at most I have slippers on. And I’m not sure if slippers count as shoes, but I started a poll for that.
