I’m thinking of this one next.
I’m one of the 9% (so far). I’ve had Covid twice. Once in December 2021 and I was miserable for several days. August 2022 it felt like a minor cold.
With a push mower I mow back & forth. Riding mower I go in circles/rounded squares.
How can anyone know for sure that they haven’t had covid? There are known asymptomatic cases, as well as cases with minimal symptoms that can easily be caused by something else.
I don’t think I’ve ever had covid. But I don’t see how I can be sure.
When I had a much larger yard to mow like at my parents house I would go around the perimeter a couple of times, go around any other obstacles like trees, then do the remaining in rows.
Because of this, I understood there to be an unspoken “(to the best of my knowledge)” qualifier on the COVID question.
OK, have voted accordingly.
My entire family had Covid last fall. I kept testing negative.
I took a flight in May 2022, right after all the mask requirements were lifted. Shortly afterward I came down with what felt like a mild cold, but I did have a cough that lasted about two weeks. So maybe it was a very mild case of COVID, but I didn’t get tested so I don’t know for sure.
It was memorable because it was the first time I had so much as a cold since before the pandemic.
I work in customer service. I deal with people face-to-face, every day, and I have no idea where they’ve been before they walk in my door. I never missed a day of work through the whole pandemic.
Every time I have tested, it has come back negative. This makes me skeptical of the accuracy of the tests.
We were actually on a flight when the requirement was lifted. They made an announcement and about 60% of the passengers (and all of the cabin crew) took off their masks.
I have never eaten Nutella either with a spoon or without one.
I picked up a jar in the grocery once, read the ingredients list, and put it back on the grocery’s shelf.
I eat Nutella with a spoon when BtY leaves any in the jar for me. Teenagers leave me with little to no food.
I’ve had Covid at least twice, possibly 3 times. I came down with a very odd cold at Christmas 2019, that started with the feeling of something zipping up my spine and blossoming into a headache.Covid wasn’t even on our radar yet, but now they say it was in the country at that time. Then, in early 2021, I had a much more minor version of the same thing happen. And I tested positive but other than feeling slightly off, no problems. Summer 2022 laid me right out and I think that my preparation and vaccinations are what kept me out of the horsespittle. It was nasty.
I don’t think I’ve ever had COVID. However I’ve had symptoms people keep telling me could be long COVID. I had what was probably RSV in October 2022 and it was weird, but I tested negative for COVID. Plus I started having asthma attacks with every respiratory illness, so from time to time I thought I must be suffocating from COVID but no, actually just asthma.
Yes I’ve had fatigue, especially with exercise, persistent low mood, all that crap, but those are also symptoms common after any viral illness, and I had like 25 viral illnesses from October thru May. Of course I’m burned out.
Some of those cuisine choices cover a whole lot of ground. Maybe all of them do; but some are wider than others.
My “other” in that one is a good Jewish deli. (Ashkenazi. Though if you want to try Sephardic, I’ll go along. For that matter, I’ll probably go along to try anything on that list; though a dislike of most pasta can be a problem with Italian. If the place has good bread and will substitute that, though, it’ll work.)
Not sure I’ve ever been to a Cuban restaurant, so that’s one. My “other” would be Ethiopian, and Burmese. If you’ve never had Burmese before, I highly recommend you take any opportunity you can to try it. It’s like Indian, Thai, and Chinese all combined together in strange and delicious ways.
I’ve had covid 1.9 times: I was mysteriously very ill in April 2020 with weird symptoms: severe fatigue and severe digestion issues too graphic to talk about for about 10 days. There were no tests then so I’ll never know.
Then I brought covid back from Italy last month. Counting from when my symptoms required meds (I tested positive after that), my quadruple vaxxed bod was sick for 19 days. And for at least a week I was truly sick: sleeping all day, 102 degree fever, coughing up unmentionable things constantly. It was pretty awful.
I’d pick North Korean, Ukrainian and Cuban restaurants
How I use my car horn varies.
First of all, I don’t use it very much. But when I do use it, it might be anything from a light careful tap from a distance (hey, person on bicycle weaving around the road, I don’t want to scare you into falling off but do you realize I’m here?) to a fullscale long loud BLARE (you just ran me right off the road, you idiot! there was traffic in the other lane and you passed anyway!)
