My life for a good wedge salad.
I’ll take your beets and one container of vegamite, but you’ll have to find someone else to deal with the kale and circus peanuts
I’ll take the sweet potatoes. Happily.
So when do you all want to meet up for this food exchange?
mmm
As George Carlin put it, everyone else’s stuff is shit and your shit is stuff.
I wasn’t sure what to answer about tea. I usually use a tea pot. But i recently bought samples of a lot of teas i wanted to try, so today (and all this week, and probably all next week) I’ve been brewing two individual cups with tea bags. (Mesh metal balls, really.)
I think tea bags work fine. But my pot also works nicely, and i enjoy my morning ritual.
(When i use tea bags i always like to pour hot water over the tea.)
I rarely drink tea. When I do, the recipe is simply a cuppa already hot water with a teabag dropped into it.
Judging by the poll results, I’ve been doing it wrong all this time.
Bubble-baths? Heh. I shower. Maybe once every two years I’ll take a bath because of some ache/pain, but no way would I ever add stuff for bubbles. I wouldn’t even know how.
Yeah, we had some kind of “Mr. Bubbles” stuff when the kids were little. Nothing now in the house to bubble it up.
Bean burritos, dude.
Still waiting for my first taste of Vegemite… (I did have Marmite once, though, so I guess that’s already the equivalent preview)
Yeah, poll was missing the “i take baths, and no way would i add bubbles” option. I enjoyed playing with them as a kid, but i also like to remove all the soap from my skin. If i took a bubble bath (and why?) I’d want to shower after to clean off the bubble scum.
My parents might have bought the Mr. Bubble stuff occasionally when I was a kid, but most of the time they were too cheap for that. If we wanted bubbles mom usually just added a squirt of dish soap to the bath. In retrospect it may not be great for your skin, but it does make bubbles.
The hotel room that my wife and I had for our wedding night featured a Jacuzzi bath; one of her bridesmaids gave us a little basket of “fun in the bath” items, including a little bottle of Mr. Bubble.
We did not see the “not for use in hot tubs or whirlpool baths” warning on the Mr. Bubble bottle, and thus learned that a capful of Mr. Bubble in a Jacuzzi leads to an instant souffle of bubbles!
Instant foam party!
I haven’t taken a bath in, jeez, years. Showers only for me.
As for those who love blue cheese, you gotta try: Maytag Blue Cheese Archives - Maytag Dairy Farms : Maytag Dairy Farms
I used to think Marmite was made from marmosets.
kidding.
See Post #1933. I lurve me some Maytag!
Tea drinker here, I usually use a tea bag or, if loose tea I have a fine mesh strainer/infuser that fits like a cup in the cup. It’s very important in winter to heat the cup with hot water first, toss the water out and then pour more hot into the cup over the tea. If it’s a good black breakfast-type tea, I add milk. Other teas don’t need additions.
Every once in a while, I might make tea the way an Indian friend taught me. Heat the water with milk in it on the stove As it starts to boil add loose black tea, a broken cardamom pod, a couple slices of fresh ginger and maybe a tiny bit of cinnamon. Let it boil for 90-120 seconds or so. Turn off heat. Prepare cup with hot water, using a sieve, pour tea into the cup. It’s a great treat when I’m not feeling well or on a bitterly cold day.
