Discussion thread for the "Polls only" thread (Part 2)

Sugar isn’t the only ingredient. Open Pit has much more of a bite to it.

It’s spicy catsup, that’s all.

I like catsup on hamburgers, unless it’s an especially good burger, in which case just a little salt and pepper is fine. I like catsup on fries. I’m okay with catsup on a hotdog, but prefer sweet pickle relish. I don’t feel like the tastes mesh well, for whatever reason. But if there’s no relish, I’ll sometimes use catsup. I understand why people like raw onions and mustard on hotdogs, but I don’t like raw onion and can only tolerate a very very small amount of mustard, so I don’t use those.

I saw the Kirk video that was filmed from the side. It runs all the way up to when he says the thing about gang violence, then the video freezes and switches to sound only. That’s the only footage I’ve seen.

I don’t particularly like ketchup on hamburgers, either. I like a mix of mayo and a good spicy mustard. And… eggs? Putting ketchup on eggs is a thing? That just sounds weird to me. I don’t typically put any condiment on eggs. If anything I might occasionally put a little hot sauce on them.

Ketchup is good on fish fingers (or fish sticks, as I believe they are known
in the US of A).

About the only thing I put ketchup on is fries – especially if it’s those big honking steak fries which tend to be mealy and need … something. But even then I doubt I’ll eat more than a third of the fries with ketchup.

On fish sticks? Ick. Tartar sauce only if I feel they need something extra.

And on meatloaf? I don’t like plain ketchup. I don’t mind a tomato-y sauce, but it needs to have some kick and more flavor than bland ketchup.

They do. I have found a mix of catsup and malt vinegar works, or better is 1000 island dressing.

I love me some ketchup.

Shopping cart escalators - I’ve seen them but never when I’ve had a cart, & as much as I wanted to use one, it just wasn’t worth going back to the front of the store just to push a cart around.

There is a two-story Target that I know has one. I’m the type of oversized little kid who wants to go to the toy dept & get some RC toy cars out of the packaging & run them up the cart escalator before driving them down the aisles. :upside_down_face:

Wegmans has them, and I’ve used them there.

The two metro systems I’ve ridded on, Buenos Aires and Athens, are not in the poll

Ooh, I’ve ridden on the Athens one.

How could New York’s subway be omitted? Or DC if you want Capital Cities.

I explained that in the poll – I’ve already done a poll on US transit systems, and the New York Subway and others were already included in that one. This poll is specifically ones outside the US.

My apologies. You sure did. I guess that’s what I get for multi-tasking.

Been on the Vienna subway.

Me too!

I’ve ridden metro systems in many cities. It’s kind of a thing for me: When I visit a new city, I always try to find time to ride its metro, if it has one. I’m fascinated by how different, yet similar, they are.

Let me see if I can put together a complete list of the ones I’ve ridden, by continent:

North America: Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco

Asia: Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Seoul, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, Dubai

Europe: London, Paris, Lyon, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Brussels, Rome, Budapest, Bucharest, Prague, Hamburg, Vienna

Oceania: Sydney

Ah, I forgot Oceania. I was trying to get at least one from each continent. And I’ve ridden the Sydney one, too. (I think none of the ones in Oceania were that high up on the list when sorted by ridership, which is how I missed them).
