Why can’t we take the stairs?
Just this week we’ve had two elevator rescues…& zero people trapped in stairs
Why can’t we take the stairs?
Just this week we’ve had two elevator rescues…& zero people trapped in stairs
But a lot more people fall down stairs than elevator shafts…
falls down elevator shafts tend to be terminal more often
I’ve never fallen going up stairs; something I do a lot of
I prefer Coke, but I must admit that Pepsi has always had better advertisements.
Actually, when I want caffeine, I drink Mountain Dew.
I am rather fond of the duet with Bing Crosby singing “Little Drummer Boy” and David Bowie singing that other song. I don’t listen to music often enough to get tired of it.
Peace on Earth. The video is so cute- Bowie has no idea who Bing is, and vice versa.
I’ve come to realize that my personal reaction to “The Little Drummer Boy” depends greatly on the age of the singer(s) and the tempo they choose.
Only two are allowed, in my book- the original and that duet with Bing & Bowie. And- played only once in a while.
I did hear an instrumental that was okay once.
The Joan Jett and the Blackhearts version isn’t that bad…naw, they’re all bad.
No idea what a “Toyotathon” is, but my nuclear family owns two cars, both Toyotas — so we’d probably celebrate it (but I had to choose “no”).
An annual ad campaign and sales promotion, which Toyota’s U.S. division has run, usually in late November and December, since ~1979.
Ah, thanks. No, we have enough Toyotas for now. ![]()
I was hoping it would involve Jerry Lewis or Pheidippides.
My family is a Honda family. Toyota’s nice too, though. Especially for fighting aliens.

I get so upset when people wish me a Merry Toyotathon when they know I celebrate Happy Hondadays.
If some fast casual restaurant sent me an email i would only assume that it is a scam so off to the junk folder it would go.
I also don’t typically eat at those types of restaurants; if i was just out somewhere & hungry before making it home, i would take the second one for later but more than likely I’d go there while traveling, which weans I have nowhere to store it…unless I buy $10 of bakery products (for later) & eat that as my (only) sam’ich at a Panera
I am agNissantic but I will respect your beliefs.
Wish I could afFord a car for Christmas…
No one where I live ever wishes me Frohe Weihnachten…don’t they see my BMW?!? ![]()
For what it’s worth, that poll was inspired by a real promotional email I got from Shake Shack, with a promo code for a free Chicken Shack with a $10 purchase. I assure you it was not a scam, and I did get my free Chicken Shack. I saved it for lunch the next day.
I’m assuming that you signed up for their email list; given I’ve been there maybe twice I have not added myself to their distribution list & therefore, if I did get an email from them i would have to assume that it was spam/spoof attempt.
When I get takeout I almost always order something for later anyways.
