How can you have To Wong Foo and not Priscilla Queen of the Desert? I believe there’s a sequel out imminently (RIP Terrence Stamp).

That was a deliberate omission since, as I recall, the character in question is a preoperative trans woman. If one is already female in gender, then I don’t think everyone would agree that wearing women’s clothes counts as cross-dressing. Then again, it’s been years since I’ve seen the movie, so correct me if I’ve got the facts wrong.
Do you wash your quilts/blankets regularly? I like top sheets, because they are easy to clean.
I rather like the individual down quilts with an easy-to-wash cover that i use when i visit Denmark and Northern Germany, but we have one giant quilt on my queen beds at home, and wrestling the quilt in and out of its cover is enough work that I’m happy not to do that more than twice a year, when we change from summer to winter bed clothes, and vice versa.
I don’t buy top sheets that have a “good side”, but I’ve run into them. Since i fold the top of the top sheet over the top of the quilt, I put the good side down, because that’s both the side i feel and also the side i see.
I don’t use top sheets, because I invariably wad them into a little ball and throw them onto the floor in my sleep. I do not know how or why, but unless it’s weightier like a blanket or duvet, I can’t keep it on the bed.
I voted La Cage aux Folles simply because I like it better than Psycho (though I truly hate the English-language remake, The Birdcage), but it’s hard to rank those two or Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, all three of which are excellent films.
Everything gets washed regularly. I shower before bed and wear long pajamas and a hoodie and socks to sleep in so there’s not much to worry about.
I live alone so there are no shared activities and no pets. I wash the comforter every couple months which is about the same interval I wash my winter coat. I use a summery blanket for warmer months and it gets monthly attention.
I do love the Scandinavian duvets. I’ve encountered them in Norway and Denmark.
As much as I hate not voting for a Hitchcock film in any kind of “best” poll, of those I’ve seen in the list, Some Like It Hot is the clear winner for me.
And I can’t refrain from adding that Mrs. Doubtfire just annoyed the everloving shit out of me.
I must admit, that one was completely unknown to me. I’ll have to add it to my watchlist.
Even though I’m the one who made the poll, I don’t particularly care for any of the movies on the list. I found Tootsie and Psycho the most tolerable, and ended up voting for Psycho, I suppose because it was novel for its time and proved to be pretty influential. I recently rewatched Mrs. Doubtfire and found its premise rather creepy; there were also a couple of overtly transphobic jokes that are pretty cringeworthy today. I was completely bored by Some Like It Hot and La Cage aux Folles. White Chicks and the two Big Momma’s House films I know only from their trailers, which were enough to get me to stay away. I have only dim memories of Nuns on the Run but if it’s like any of Idle’s other post-Python films, it’s probably not all that good.

I haven’t had a sheet made that way in a long time, but that’s how I remember them working.
And what “all downhill from here” means depends on the context. If you’re on a hike, or partway through a difficult job, it means things will get better. If somebody’s talking about the state of the world, or. the state of their aging process and they’re past maybe their thirties, it probably means they’ll get worse; but note their tone of voice..
Oh, and I know something of some of the films, but not enough to rate them.
You wear more to bed than i do. 
I don’t wash my sheets all that often, even so, but i wash them more often than i wash the quilts, and i like to wash them if I’ve been sick. Anyway, changing the sheets is actually on my list for today, so this was timely.
In the summer, i sometimes kick off everything but the sheet.
Priscilla, Queen of the Desert was fun. I’m not familiar with To Wing Fu.
This is how I do it, too. I used to put it good side up, then Mrs Magill informed me that was wrong. Since I didn’t really have a dog in the fight, I started making the bed good side down.
The context isn’t always clear. I saw a band perform a real barn burner in the middle of their set and the frontman followed by saying, “It’s all downhill from here!” Was he acknowledging that they just got through the most difficult part of the performance or the high point of their performance?
I would figure the only 2 reasonable stances were “i don’t care” or “good side up”. What would be the reason to make a special effort to “good side down”?

Same thing happened to me. I used to put good side up, same as the blankets and quilts that were on top of the sheets. But my late wife informed me that I was Doing It Wrong. Sheets go good side down so that the folded-over part has the good side visible, and more importantly, that when you’re lying in the bed the good side is touching you. I didn’t see an obvious refutation for that viewpoint, so I switched and have done it that way ever since.

Mattress clips are your friend. After the original bottom sheets developed holes, I was forced to combine the two top ones on a pair of beech sheet sets that I got from Bed Bath and Beyond. I have very sensitive skin and have been using these for the entire decade so far–alas what is left of BB&B online now has a new brand on sale which according to reviews are much less soft than the originals, and I cannot find any others elsewhere, and wasted $150 on some cotton ones which felt like sandpaper to me even after I followed an online recipe involving vinegar and baking soda to try to soften them up. So when these finally wear out too I dunno what I will do; the ones based on plastic don’t breathe and are unbearably hot, esp. in the summer.
I don’t understand what you have done here. Maybe there’s a typo? But there are many brands of cotton sheets on the market. Some feel soft to me.
