I don’t drive but my wife does and she gets nasty in her comments.
She’s a very rule-oriented driver and follows all rules to a T, most other drivers… aren’t and it makes her furious
John clearly knows he’s in the wrong:
Dale: “Quit screwing around with my mower and get back in there and start massaging my wife!”
John: “He’s taking the fun out of this.”
So, as a married woman who has had a few in-home massages from a guy, i don’t see what that has to be with having an affair, or why it’s especially different from seeing the same guy in his office.
(Now that he’s moved much closer to me, i go to his office. But he used to be a long enough drive away that the extra $20 to have him come to my home was worth it.)
The guy i see is brilliant, by the way, with extensive knowledge of how the muscles connect to everything else. I always feel better after i see him, and i have to adjust the mirror on my car because I’m taller. Also, I’m not having an affair, I’m pretty sure he’s gay, and i rave about him to my husband. (He declined to see my husband when my husband was first diagnosed with cancer because he had medical concerns, and suggested my husband find a medical specialist for massage.)
Anyway, i feel i must be missing something in that poll.
I feel John is guilty but not equally guilty, he’s colluding in deceiving another person, but he’s not breaking any vow.
Does John even know she has another partner? How is he colluding?
Not a fan of King of the Hill huh?
Oh, i misread that as “does not know…” I’m a little dyslexic, but usually catch that kind of important word.
I just changed my vote.
And no, i don’t watch King of the Hill.
Evidently, neither does Dale Gribble.
I used those names on the spur of the moment instead of thinking of random names. ![]()
I think a single person is still in the wrong when they have an affair with a married/in-a-serious-partnership person. To me, it’s no better than driving someone to a store when they plan to shoplift. Maybe you just gave them a ride, but if you knew what they were going to do, then you’re involved.
That’s pretty hilarious!
I agree with this. Both parties are doing something wrong, but Nancy’s transgression is far more serious.
The hypercorrect “off-ten” annoys me. I hope, for consistency’s sake, that such people aldo soff-ten the butter and liss-ten to music.
We also eat all-monds and sall-mon.
I sure do! but Spanish being my first language I have the strange custom of pronouncing things as written…
ETA: on the other I never correct people speaking their native language so it doesn’t apply to me.
I do, actually.
I do, too. How else would you pronounce that?
I’ve always pronounced the L and still do, but dictionaries say that “AH-mond” is the most common pronunciation, and that the version with a pronounced L is a spelling pronunciation.
I certainly heard “ah mond” before i ever learned to spell. I probably still say it that way.
There is a classic joke-pirates of penzance pronunciation often vs orphan
