So Season Two is dropped.
Watched the first couple. Not sure what is missing but it feels phoned in. Pretty though!

Season 1 ended all Game of Thrones-ish from what I recall.
[Moderating]
Edited title to include name of the show.
Season 3 or 2 (depending on if you concider the last two sets two seasons or two halves of one) is out. 10 episodes, I’m about halfway through, and loving it.
I’m also about halfway through and I’m liking it too. I was iffy at first, but the storyline has really picked up. Also, Richard Ayoade is now (probably) a recurring character and I’m a big Richard Ayoade fan. By my count he’s the third IT Crowd alum to lend a voice to Disenchanted.
Good season. But I was NOT thrilled with the cliffhanger it ended with.
I hate when producers leave you with NO closure at all.
There are 10 more episodes on the way. You can break it down as either
S1: 20 episodes
S2: 20 episodes
or
S1.0: 10 episodes
S1.5: 10 episodes
S2.0: 10 episodes
S2.5: 10 episodes
So we are either through the 3rd season with a 4th season on the way or in the mid-season finale of season 2, however you want to look at it.
And now I have finished either 2 seasons or 4 seasons, and still like it.
2 episodes into this season, still loving it.
It is interesting that The Simpons is almost completely episodic with few advancements making it past the weekly reset button, Futurama has some plot advancements but episodes are still mostly self-contained, and Disenchantment has a single seasons-long sweeping story arc and you absolutely can’t just drop in anywhere and understand it. I suppose that’s the trend for TV in general, though.
I didn’t find the latest season particularly interesting. I ended up kind of half-listening to it in the background while I did other stuff.
Not enough Richard Ayoade, but I have the same complaint about practically everything.
Matt Berry seems to be missing too. Noel Fielding is the last of the IT Crowd still around.
And the final 10 episodes are out. An epic end that provides a proper wrap-up for the various plot threads. (The last episode is double length.)
I don’t know about “wrapping up”, it’s just too zany… How did Scruffles get killed? And why would Luci, or Dagmar, sit around for too long without making a break? :þ Can’t say it truly needs more episodes, though.
