so i got a divx codec (zipped up), to watch some files either on real or windows media.
where the hell do i extract it to?

It don’t matter. Just run the program and it installs the codec.
sweet, sailor! i had tried running the .exe from inside a winzip window. i extracted it, clicked, and everything went off without a hitch.
