I had the test done professionally once, but I escaped the asylum before I could find out what the result was.

ENTP here.
Did a little count of the results of this poll:
INFJ is the winner with 6 people, followed closely by INTP and INTJ with 5 each. ENFJ takes the third spot with 4 people.
ENFP, ENTJ, and ISTP all have 2 apiece. ESFJ and INFP have only 1 person. This gives us:
INFJ: 6
INTP: 5
INTJ: 5
ENFJ: 4
ENFP: 2
ENTJ: 2
ISTP: 2
ESFJ: 1
INFP: 1
ENTP: 1
The SDMB seems to have an unusually high number of introverts, considering they’re supposed to be only about 10% of the population, but this isn’t a scientific poll or anything and the number of respondents is very small. We have 10 of the 16 possible types represented so far, with the introverts outnumbering the extroverts by a good bit.
*did some SDMB searching *

(31 Mar 2002) Are you an introvert or extrovert?

I was tested professionally (my boss at the time knew someone who just got trained in administering the MBPI, so I got it for free). I came out as an ENFJ, which is The Pedogogue, or Teacher on some sites. I am a teacher, so I find it interesting that I would have this type, which I do think fits me. What I find even more curious is that only 2-3% of the population supposedly has this personality, so there are plenty of teachers out there who are not, according to the MBPI, teacher types. Makes sense, though, considering what I’ve seen…
I don’t trust those things. I’ve taken lots of tests and they always trying to tell me I’m paranoid or schizotypal or have ADD and not a good mate or am not good at calculus, and I’m like, whatever dude. You don’t need that stuff in real life.
Actually, I can’t shake the feeling that if the results of the Meyer-Briggs weren’t presented in a touchy-feely “It’s not wrong to be introverted”, I believe more people would contest the results. Always listed under one of the qualities are far more good points of being that way than bad, so in that way I think it’s a lot like astrology and that crap.
ENFP
INTP / J – right on the line between P and J.

Me too - and the description was scarily accurate (apparently only one per cent of the population are INFP). I hope no prospective employer ever makes me do this test - otherwise they’d never hire me…)
Oh well - at least I have integrity!
ISTJ
Over the years though, my I has become less strong. It’s still there, but I’ve become somewhat more extroverted.

What the hell kind of typo is that?

Let me quote myself from a previous thread (how’s THAT for ego):
Another INTP here.
That’s an interesting observation about Dopers being introverted, not supported by my own observations, but that may have to do with the Dopers I’ve met, who seem to be extroverts. Maybe that’s because the introverted Dopers don’t come out to Dopefests, et. al. (?)
