It’s common for American porn websites to advertise that they have “Hot Asian Chicks” for American guys who like looking at naked Japanese/Chinese/Koreans, etc. But does it go the other way? Are there websites in Japan (for example) that advertise that they have “Hot American Chicks” for Japanese guys who like looking at naked girls of European ancestry?
Obviously given the global nature of the web a Japanese guy who likes American girls could always surf to a U.S. porn site. But are there domestic sites in Japan (or other Asian countries) that specifically cater to guys who like foreign girls?
Sure. I’m not particularly concerned about the actual terms. I was just wondering if Asian countries have a sizable market for non-Asian porn the way the U.S. has the “Hot Asian Chicks” market.
It sounds like, according to Isamu, the answer is “no”.
Which makes me pose a follow-up question: Does the greater ethnic diversity of the United States increase the likelihood of ethnically-based fetishes?
I remember reading some manga (Japanese comics) in which the main characters (high school students) were excited to see some American porn magazines… but not because of the race of the women in the magazine, but instead because “you can see everything,” meaning that the pictures of the genitals weren’t blurred like they (used to?) have to be in any porn produced in Japan.
In the relatively early days of the dot-com era, I did some technical work for a US porn startup in the Bay Area, which was headed by a Japanese entrepreneur. They didn’t produce the photos or content, they bought those and embedded ithem in web sites.
The sites were aimed at Japanese nationals in Japan - all content was Japanese for example. Part of the marketing appeal was the blending of Japanese and Bay Area sensibilities.
Anyhoo, ISTR that there was at least one site in the collection where there was Caucasian porn marketed as such, as something special or hot, to Japanese guys who were into that.
I think this may have been before Rule 34 of the Internet was formalized, but now that it has, the rule itself should be enough to answer the OP.
Oh yeah, I guess that was also a big marketing point in the arrangement I mentinoed above. Regardless of the race, you could see everything, and all the words and menus and stuff were in Japanese!
Even though this is the Onion (another excellent article on their part), due to the existence of Rule 34, those searches are something I do not want to try at home - or anywhere.
