Ok front-range dopers, this thread is revived. I say all interested meet at Adam’s Mark and pick up the Texan (w/ tongs of course ;)) and head out to a nearby brewpub and pay homage to the malt beverages of our LODO. Chef, what’ll ye be wearin’?
Yeah, I think I’m up for it. What time? Has anybody ascertained that there IS a bar in the Adam’s Mark? What’s the name of it?
Oh yeah, I’ll bring the digital camera so we can post our pictures up here later!
1830 MST. The A.M. bar is where the May D&F skating rink was located. Faces the 16th st mall. Probably overpriced and corporate in atmosphere. The chef wants to know what we are relly like, I think.
What’s the plan? Was the 18th the final get together date for all of us Colorado Dopers?
I still have plans on the 18th, but was curious to see if anything had changed.

Yes, the date is Friday, Feb. 18th (next Friday).
I’m told that the bar at the Adam’s Mark is called the Supreme Court Café and Nightclub. (there’s another bar, the Capitol Bar, but it’s a cigar bar and I do NOT do the cigar thing if I can help it.)
As for what I’ll be wearing, I’ll probably be wearing black jeans, a banded collar shirt, and a vest. I may or may not be wearing a wacky hat as well. Denver Dopers who are looking for me are advised to look for a VERY large man with glasses and a goatee (think a younger John Goodman).

I mentioned the shindig to SO… don’t know if he’ll come or not. He kinda gave me the “you wanna drive to Denver to spend an evening with a bunch of people you talked to on an internet board?” kind of look. Then he asked if there were going to be any other women going, or if it were me and a bunch of guys (who I don’t really know, just met them on the internet… you know the schpiel.) Techchick, I’m all in favor of you coming just so’s I can tell him there’s at least one other female in the crowd!
