Usernames that are references to Japanese stuff usually strike me as male unless there’s some other clue.
We’re similar in that I think my posts have been pretty consistently gender neutral in content, and I think a lot of people here could easily assume either way.
I always assumed Tengu was male, just because he(?) has participated in the comic book discussions. I always assume comic collectors are dudes, except for Selkie, Kaitlyn, and Asbestos Mango, who have proven otherwise, and my apologies to anyone else I left out!
All I know is, if I ever get hungry, I intend to kill you, and then eat you immediately, or else, if I happen to have a tinning kit, tin you and eat you later on. Because if I don’t do one of the two quickly, you’ll rot and then if I eat you I’ll get sick and probably die.
You’d be rather amazed by…well, most anywhere I post, then.
Most of the anime-based/Japanese names are attatched to females - even when posting in anime and J-music forums. Especially those that specifically reference male singers/characters.
AskNott - from me ‘these fellas’ is actually fairly ambiguous - everybody in this thread is a ‘fella’. But I don’t think I’ve ever seen a female tengu, either Karasu or Yamabuchi.
Missy2U - I’m 28 year old male. Who has been mistaken for a 15 year old girl. Often.
