Do Palin's leaked speeches alter your opinion of her?

It was an honest, classy speech, and it makes me hope that if I ever undergo brain damage (accompanied by megalomania), that I can handle it as well as Sarah Palin has.

As long as we’re insultin’ people backhandedly, doncha know.

I don’t see why you need to drag Fred and Rudy in this.

Frankly, I never thought she is anywhere near my league.

The fear is everything she is doing is orchestrated to make her a viable presidential candidate. Giving speeches behind closed doors, having a writer ghost a book for her, going on select Tv programs, is all to get somewhere. She still has big money and power in back of her. So do not ignore her or write her off. As scary as it is ,she still is the repub front runner.

Oh, no, not that. Anything but that. Please don’t throw us in that briar patch.

Which is incredibly good for the Democrats.

What if there is a terrorist attack in America? What if they don’t get the health care bill through? What if Obama has an affair with Hillary?

Hmm, like the valor of scuttling away from your job before it’s completed, and the merit of being Sarah.

Another irony meter explodes.

A major disappointment of the '08 campaign for me was watching the ethical breakdown of a man I had respected, John McCain. As part of this he unleashed Sarah Palin on us. It’s a measure of the deep and continuing sickness in the Republican Party that two-thirds of party members would today vote for her as President.

No, the release of a speech that she didn’t give and that someone else wrote for her does not alter my opinion of her.

(ignoring the urgent need for a brain scrub to remove the image of the last postulated eventuality) What if Hillary’s fondest dreams come true and something happens to Obama? Does anyone think the outcome of a Clinton-Palin catfight is ordained in Hillary’s favor?

She’s like a female version of Dan Quayle.

Well, considering that Rick Santorum has mentioned a possible run for president…

I still have the same amount of respect for her as I’ve ever had…or ever will

That’s completely unfair. But to answer your question, I think Palin has alienated enough people that she would probably lose to Hillary.

That’s a powerful lot of alienation. I’d be tempted to vote for Palin purely for the entertainment value.

But I wouldn’t.

I think Sarah would be reasonably well contained, yet still a font of humor, as a member fo the House. I can see her and Michelle Bachman as a Dimwitted Duo.

Maybe so, but I can’t think of any situation where she would run for the House. She’d have a higher profile and make more money on TV.

I prefer calling her Sarah Bare-a-Cooter.

Hey, those 5 kids didn’t come from Amazon.com.

I see it now, the first reality show to follow a House member around on a daily basis. But she might figure out she can collect more bribe money without the cameras around.

Posing the critical question: should Palin and Bachman be teamed in a wacky sitcom or a wacky reality show?

The A.P. has a copy of her book and is doing fact checking. Her reaction of course is saying they are doing “opposition fact checking”. If they found her truthful, she would have managed to get some measure of prestige. But even McCain’s people are saying she is “making things up”. Facts are not being corroborated . That is pretty simple and clean. I read she got 5 mill for the book. That may be her last big pay day. She is getting less and less able to be defended.

Her book is not even out and I see advertisements to get it for $4.95. She wont be able to give it away soon.

Did anybody get that. Tina Fey was saying in high school ,she couldn’t give it away. She played Palin on SNL.
