Do Straight Guys Shave Their Chests? Pubes?

I thought it was common knowledge that all Muslims, male and female, definitely straight, shave their armpit hair and pubic hair.

I shave my chests and armpits, but not the other areas (okay, face too). Legs are a losing battle, but I WON’T! Gr…

Studies show that women are more attracted to men who demonstrate an ability to grow facial hair. However, once a lady has her hooks in ya, she wants you to shave off the goat so that you are less attractive to other women.

Are ya nutz dude?! I had the most COLOSSAL, HORRID tantrum when the hub informed me he had to shave his goatee for work!! The walls bled for weeks…

You know, I bought Nair this summer and found that it has two uses: 1. gives painful chemical burns if applied to legs or underarms, even if left on less than recomended time(I have sensitive skin, though)but leaves the hair behind 2. it takes the hair off your toes in five minutes without burning. I bet it’d work on fingers, too. It’s going to take forever to use the bottle up by just putting it on my toes, want me to send you some of it?

Stright male shaver.

I’m not the only one.

Everything but the top of my head. Hair drives me absolutely insane.

Thanks for the offer elfkin, but it seems like overkill for just two two hairs.

Golly I wanna be on the list to get all these pics of shaved delicates! But PLEASE keep the jungle up top for me to hang onto! … Nothin ore erotic than runnin my tongue through chest fur… yummmmmmm

toshirodragon, never mind pictures - show up to a dopefest and see things live.

ON MY FREAKIN WAY!!!
well when and where do y’all have them? I am out here in the desert toasting my tootes in Mormonland USA.

I’d love to shave all my body hair, I feel like a monkey, but my wife says she likes it, so it stays I guess.

I know bodybuilders and professional wrestlers shave their bodies because body hair tends to hide muscle definition, and swimmers shave their bodies because it gives them more speed in the water.

I’d sure like to get rid of my body hair. I absolutely hate it. My back is covered, my front is covered, my legs are covered, my neck is covered…

Does anybody know how well that Enleve crap works? It claims to be better than Nair or waxing or anything… I’m considering bathing in the stuff.

Welcome, toshirodragon!

DopeFests with shaved men in kilts would be the best place to view said grooming habits.

A Shaven, Kilt-wearing (sometimes) Doper

I should clarify, for the sake of the OP:

A Shaven, Straight, Kilt-wearing (sometimes) Doper

Are you guys talking about shaving with a razor blade? My male friends, there is no need for all of that. Just do what I’ve been doing about 5 years now:

  1. Buy a home hair-cutting kit. I’ve learned that Wahl sems to work best for this.

  2. Throw away all the attachments except for the 1/8-inch and 1/4-inch. Needless to say, hold on to the main unit and the lubricating oil.

  3. Use the 1/8-inch on your entire body. This includes your arms, legs, stomach, butt, pubic area, etc. Pretty much anywhere you have hair. Use the 1/4-inch for your chest and armpits.

This method every 2-3 weeks keeps me clean cut all around. And I don’t have to deal with the itching and ingrown hairs from shaving.

Of course, if you have hair on your back, you must shave that with a razor. If you want advice on how to do this without any assistance, let me know. From my experience, women will only shave your back for you after you’ve slept with them.

I don’t think that anyone of my age has spoken up (I’m 15).
When I first started to notice pubic hair when I was 12, I stole one of my father’s razors and shaved my balls and that area.

Around the time I turned 14, I stopped (I can’t remember why)but now I don’t have any interest in shaving my pubes.

I have “experimented” occasionally and shaved my armpits once, shaved part of my right leg, and my arm once.

See … I wasn’t crazy

There’s an article in today’s (September 5, 2001) Wall Street Journal all about chest-shaving. Can’t post a link - it’s subscription only - but here’s a relevant section:

The irony is that here in the Happy Homoland of Chelsea, New York City, I see less chest-shaving than I used to. Clipping seems more popular, and IMHO it’s a helluva lot sexier. Of course, I’m more interested in men than boys.

I’d dispute the idea it doesn’t itch when it grows back. I had a EKG a few years back and they had to shave to place electrodes. While it was growing back, it itched ** LIKE HELL**

I also gave me a really interesting looking chest Mohawk for a while…

I, for one, have grown tired of the shaved look. I miss the 80’s hairy-chested “SF clone” look. FTR, I shave my balls now and again for more convenient oral.
