Do you "cartoonize" certain events/places/etc?

The other day I realized that certain places, moments, events, etc, evoke “cartoon” responses in my brain. For example:

-When I finish cleaning the kitchen and bathroom, I imagine that little cartoon advertising sparkle and the “ting!” noise that means something is spotless. I can’t find an example pic, but perhaps other folks know what what I mean?

-When shopping at Acme (a grocery chain in the Northeast), I envision the automatic doors as an opening in the “Roadrunner tunnel” and do a (quiet) “Beep beep!” when I step through.

I have other instances, but will wait to see if anyone else has similar imaginings or if I’m just kraaaazy.

I go to an event every year where a bunch of, well, music nerds gather (including me). I imagine us all as Far Side characters.

“Welcome to Hell; here’s your accordion.”

Whenever my wife says something unexpected, I fire back No way, you lie! in my best Homer Simpson voice. And it’s pretty damn good, too.

***I’m new here ***
I do stuff like that all the time. After I’m done housework, I imagine little birds (like Cinderella) coming in and being impressed with me. And I use alot of cartoon references. And it might not be a cartoon, but when ever I’m having a serious conversation, or drama starts, the law and order “dun dun” plays in my head.

After I brush my teeth I will smile and do the “ting” thing in my head.

I haven’t done a shot in years. But when I did, I used to imagine smoke coming out of my ears

And whenever one of the cats does the “OMG! I’m late for important cat stuff!” and seemingly bolts out of the room for no apparent reason, I imagine a puff of smoke (in the shape of a cat) in his wake.

Or a Rikki-Tikki-Tavi style tail-trail.

On people, I sometimes imagine cartoonish jaw-drops, and the sad trombone is definitely in my list of mental sound effects.

Speaking of the Far Side, whenever I see a driver driving erratically I have a tendency to mutter “Criminy! You’re driving like you’ve been pithed!”

Whenever anyone asks me why somebody did something when they know I could not possibly know the answer, I say in my best Homer Simpson voice:

He did it cause he’s stupid. That’s the only reason anybody does anything.

And now, I have a new “TING!” event – teeth brushing!

Oh dear God, I said this yesterday in traffic. And I do the ting thing after brushing my teeth.

Oh, it’s in my repertoire of real life sound effects. Someone on my soccer team goes for a big kick and ‘whiffs’, totally missing the ball), and everyone looks to me to make the *Waaah, waaaaaaaah… *noise. Doubly funny when it’s me missing the ball.

When I lived in Philthydelphia I shopped at Acme and did similar Acme stuff.

Locals all pronounced it with three syllables; Ac-a-me.

My wife and I do this constantly. Plus we now mash up riffs and lines from The Andy Griffith Show and* Leave It To Beaver*.

There’s so much material you never run out.

The rubbery sound effect whenever somebody in a Warner Brothers cartoon shakes their head to reorient themselves, I do that.

Not so much a cartoon, per se, but when I walk up to doors that slide open left and right from center, I hear that whoosh sound in my head as I step onto the bridge of my own starship.
