Do you drink hot tea?

Hot. Always.

Iced Tea is nasty.
Also…I reported the OP for you to make the title change request, because I noticed it hadn’t been done. And then my screen refreshed and it was fixed. I see Twickster posted just above me, so I assume she handled it while I was typing…sorry to doubt you, Twicks!

Ha! I wish! I’m probably closer to Flo from Progressive.

Hot tea when I wake up in the morning - iced tea throughout the day. And if any kind of sugar touches ANY of it, there will be hell to pay.

I’m a big fan of those Lipton Pyramid bags, just plain black tea.

But I prefer iced tea in the summer – Splenda or Truvia only; sugar won’t dissolve enough!

ETA:

With all the birth control threads lately I read that as Progesterone :smack:.

Oh. I though this thread was going to be about what you think of when you hear the word tea. And I am, yes, one of the savages that thinks of iced tea. Or, to be more exact, sweet tea. The only hot drink I can think of that doesn’t need hot in front of it is coffee.

As for drinking, I can’t have caffeine. Although, with as fatigued as I’ve been lately (nutrient absorption issues), I’m starting to wonder if I couldn’t stand a little bit. And, if I do, it will definitely be iced tea.

Korean brown rice tea, Earl Gray, Irish Breakfast, etc.

Strongly brewed tea concentrate, in the blender with yogurt, dessert spices and tropical fruit.

Hot black tea with German licorice dissolved in it. If one is on a coffee date, this makes for a better goodbye kiss than coffee breath.

Hot: Twinings or PG Tips (if I can find it), steeped for a long time (5-7 minutes) in water that is BOILING, sweetened with a bit of splenda or truvia and finally a splash of milk.

I gather this is the way most Brits drink it, although the only Brit I know drinks Lipton, black, steeped in lukewarm water.

I used to drink iced tea unsweetend, now if I’m thirsty for something cold I’ll have water. Haven’t drank iced tea in years.

I don’t know about restaurants, but President’s Choice sells an unsweetened tea in cans. It’s fairly good. There never seems to be more than 2-3 cases of it, usually on the bottom shelf of the pop aisle somewhere. IIRC, the box is grey (silver), though it might be white. It’s been a while since I bought some, since I’m a Coke Zero addict.

Hot tea, iced tea, milky chai.

I like lapsang with a touch of splenda, russian caravan with a dash of milk and splenda or plain with a dash of lemon, russian caravan iced with fresh mint and a wedge of lemon, chai with milk either hot or cold, whatever the generic chinese restaurant black tea plain and scorchingly hot.

I can not abide sweet tea, other than it being dangerous for my diabetes, it is way to jaw-wrenchingly sweet.

I don’t drink hot drinks - tea, coffee, hot chocolate, soup (yeah, SOUP).

I don’t really care for iced tea either. I just … never got around to it.

I’m not all averse to tea, I just never find myself wanting it.

tea, iced tea. they’re both good. nobody drinks it lukewarm, there is no need to specify ‘hot’.

I’ve had iced tea, didn’t care for it. Have not ever and will not ever have hot tea.

There is if you don’t want to be served iced tea by mistake.

Iced tea, hot tea, I drink it all. I do drink more hot tea ever since a British friend of mine came to visit and convinced me to get an electric kettle. It’s so easy to boil the water now that I find myself making tea more often.

Hot tea. I almost never drink iced tea.

Pyramid…??? Googled it… Interesting! How do they differ from the old style of “flat” tea bags? What are the advantages?

(My local grocery store doesn’t have these!)

Both hot and iced.

There’s always a pitcher of unsweetened iced tea in the fridge. If the Fella’s sons are here, there’s a pitcher of seriously sweet tea too. At least one day on the weekend, I’ll make a pot of hot tea at breakfast. Right now, with a headful of crud, I don’t want to drink coffee (I use cream in that) so I’ve switched to tea until dairy doesn’t do bad things to me.

Iced tea at restaurants, hot tea at home. It’s impossible to get a good cup of hot tea at an American restaurant.

Hot or cold, though, I never sweeten it.

I don’t care for hot tea at all. Iced only, please.

I enjoy a hot cup of tea. I started having a cup or two at night instead of coffee. Less caffeine and I sleep better.

I like it with a teaspoon of honey.

I don’t understand. Everywhere I ask for tea, I get a container of boiling water, a teabag and cup. You steep it fresh right there at the table. Its a lot more dependable than coffee which may be hours old when served.

The flat tea bags are crushed flat, with the tea leaves in little pieces - the pyramid ones seem to have bigger leaves in them. Not sure how big the difference really is or if it is mostly just a marketing ploy.
