I don’t have anything at all against men showing emotion, but for someone in a position of authority, he sure is weepy. How far do you suppose Nancy Pelosi would have gotten if she’d burst into tears every time she got emotional?

Speaker Boehner’s a terrible speaker in that in the past he has failed to stand up strongly enough to the Tea Party Congressmen, but I don’t fault him for his emotions.
I’ve never heard of “boobing” either, as a word in any context. OP, where are you from?

I like the irony of at least one poster correcting the OP’s non-word by suggesting another (“blubbing”).
But “boobing” SHOULD be a word, meaning “crying to draw attention to oneself.” All credit goes to cubsfan.
I don’t think he’s that bad a guy. He just happens to lead an incorrigible lot. He might have been an effective Speaker had he been elected say in the late 1990s. But today’s GOP is so batshit crazy that it cannot be effectively lead by anyone.
As far as the crying goes, it looks like he can’t control it. It doesn’t appear to be fake, and if that’s the way it is, then so be it. I voted that he is a pussy, but not because of the tears. It’s because of his grotesque tan and the fact that he can’t do his job (not that anyone can).
Crying is not something that men don’t do. It’s something adults don’t do. Or, at least, it’s something they don’t do without reason. Crying happens because of intense emotion that you can’t control. Crying all the time implies you can’t control your emotions. If you can’t control you emotions even as a general rule, then it’s really hard to trust you important things that require backbone.
Now, that said, I have no idea if Boehner is really a crybaby, or if this is just one incident, which wouldn’t be a problem. Nor have I seen any clips, so I have no idea if it was just a little wavering in his voice with a few tears or a full out bawling session where he lost all composure. Letting out a little bit of emotion every once in a while is not a problem, and the reasons given here make sense. It’s not like he cried because he didn’t get to be Speaker–that would be childish.

Yes, he’s seems like an idiot, and they’re crocodile tears. Bet he never weeps while gutting America.
