Do you get random views of your LinkedIn profile?

I like the function that allows you to be able to see who’s viewed your profile, but sometimes I can’t for the life of me figure out why some people have viewed my profile.

Within the last three days, my profile was viewed by…

One person who’s a former co-worker - Ok, this one makes sense

Someone in Mental Health who works a couple hundred miles away - hope they’re not looking for new clients!

Someone from the Bahamas - neat, can I crash at their place?

A legal officer in local government in the midlands of the UK - I’m not in the legal field, and an American… this one is quite confusing.
I’m guessing most of these found me through contacts, and it’s just showing how few connections we need to cover lots of the English-speaking world. What random people do you have pop in on your LinkedIn page?

I love that feature, but it’s made me reluctant to look at other people’s profiles!

I’ve been looked at recently by:
[ul]
[li]A recruiter, whom I did a brief phone call with after she sent me an “in-mail”[/li][li]3 people who work for the same company in the Philippines :dubious:[/li][li]A guy I dated for a brief time in college who I haven’t spoken to in over 20 years. Caught ya![/li][/ul]

SO, yes, it’s useful.

Oh, and a few months ago I saw that someone I knew a long time ago had looked at my profile and I used the opportunity to drop her an email and I’m really glad to be in touch.

I have approx 1600 contacts, it’s rare when I know someone who’s looked at my profile…
