Do you have nicknames for your pet(s)? (Of course you do.) 3rd edition

Little black dog named Delilah. An employee of mine started calling her Doodle. Eventually her name became Dude.

Cat named Forklift. Little kids in our apartment building thought the name was Forked Lips. Cat ended up being called Lips.

I suppose the Forklift part is as odd as any of that. I had friend named Bridge. We joked that he had a brother named Bill, short for Building. Then we joked about other odd names, and eventually I ended up calling the cat one of those names.

Joshua hasn’t got a theme song, I will have to work on one.

Thanks, Fossil. Next time I do this, I’m going to have to add the theme song option.

One of my cats, EC, has a theme song. A friend found her abandoned when she was only about a week old. She developed terrible mange and almost died from it. I had to keep her quarantined from my other cats for-- I can’t remember exactly-- a couple of months. It was all over her face and she looked so sad. When I went in her room to bottle feed her, I used to sing “Me and My Shadow,” and that is still her song. I sing it to her now, three years later, when she crawls up on my lap for P&R (pets & rubs).

She’s now sleek and beautiful, but has issues, I’m guessing due to her early woes. Taking her to the vet is an ordeal, and they have to sedate her even to touch her. Around there, she’s known as “The Kitten from Hell.”

Leet the Wonder Dog, aka Oh Dog of Dogly Dogliness, or Monsieur le Chien. It ought to be Herr Hundt, as he is a German Shepherd, but he doesn’t seem to mind.

Regards,
Shodan

ETA - his theme song is the theme from Dragnet, because I watch the show on Netflix, and he knows that when the closing theme plays, it’s time for Nice Walks. Yay for Nice Walks!

Creamsicle (who is looking for attention right now) gets called ‘Kitty Girl’ and ‘Little Bit’.
