Do you keep a pair of "throw on" shoes?

Yes, but more importantly my kids do too. My wife is a ‘no shoes in the house’ type & my kids never wear shoes indoors.

Me? I’ve been in places with fires, explosions, powder-in-envelopes, earthquakes and downed dancing power lines. Its harder for me to… adapt.
But I always keep a pair of fast slip-on shoes by the door.
…and I can still carry a kid over one shoulder and their shoes in my off-hand.

Almost all of my shoes are “throw on”. Work shoes are loafers, all laced shoes are laced loosely enough that they slip on and off (including golf shoes and softball cleats). The only shoes that don’t qualify as throw on are my high top hiking boots. I will figure out a way to make them slip ons eventually. At least, that’s the goal.

Yeah - a pair of clogs (except not with wooden soles - there’s a different term for them but I forget what it is). I actually need to toss them - they’re so easy to slip on and go, so I wear them a lot, but I also tend to accidentally kick them off while walking (and they’re the ones I was wearing when I sprained my ankle… at the orthopedist’s office :D).

I also have a pair of Crocs by the back door for quick dog-to-the-yard business.

For outdoor work I wear an old pair of sandal-type shoes, let my feet get some fresh air.
