Do You Like Gummis?

I had a temp job in a store awhile back and one of the last things I had to do before the store closed was to restock the candy. And of all the candies, we always ran out of gummi products. Whether they were gummi worms, gummi fish, gummi computers, etc etc

So my question is do you like gummi products?

If so how much? Do you like them more than other products? I must admit I HATE them and I can’t understand why anyone would choose gummi over a chocolate bar or a pack of chips or whatever.

I love 'em, as long as they’re real gummis. Occasionally you’ll get gummi-like gel candies that are gross. But real Haribo-esque gummis? Divine.

This.

I’m the opposite. I won’t touch actual gelatin-based gummis, but I like Swedish Fish and love Fruit Gels and Juicy Jellies.

Swedish fish were the biggest sellers, I couldn’t keep enough of them on the shelf

Yes, the Haribo gummis are great. The gold bears and happy colas are my favorite candies. Other brands not so much.

I like them fine, although they’re not my favorite candy. I normally go for the chocolate but sometimes I want something fruit flavored.

Ugh. This is candy? I don’t understand the appeal.

My nephew used to get Fruit Snaks as his nightly treat. When I went to visit, they politely shared with me, so I got a whole pack for myself. Blech. I ate a couple then disappeared and didn’t finish them.

I don’t understand the appeal. At least with gummi worms, I understand the fun value of eating “worms”. But I don’t like the texture, don’t like the flavor, and they’re not particularly sweet.

Never liked Fruit Rollups either.

I can see how the texture could put people off.
I like them, but don’t love them. I prefer swedish fish because I like the taste better and they are more chewy than gummy. Closer to Mochi, which I also enjoy.
The best gummibears I ever had were purchased in Germany. So SOFT! Tasty too.

I don’t like the mouthfeel of gummi anything - and to be honest I really don’t like most candies, they are to sweet. I prefer fresh fruit when I want something sweet.

Not really a fan. I am closer to will never eat them than anything, but I can’t really say never.

Honestly, I usually have trouble not finishing any container of gummies that I buy in a single sitting. Even a pound or more is totally plausible, even if I know it’s going to make me sick. For this reason, I have to buy them in small quantities. God, I love gummi candies.

The mineral oil coating that keeps them from sticking together gives me the shits. So, no I don’t like gummis.

I have a sweet tooth, but I’m not a big chocolate fan. Fresh, soft gummi bears are one of my favorites. I will devour way too many in a sitting.

Also really good are those gummi lifesavers. Yum yum yum. I used to eat those by the package back when my pancreas could handle them. Now, not so much.

I like gummis but I LOVE the sour ones like sour patch kids or sour gummi worms. My local grocery shop has the sour ones right up by the register. I keep a stock of them.

Eh, I guess as far as sweets go they’re OK. I’d never search them out, and wouldn’t eat one if it were available and I could avoid being rude by refusing.

Mentos, though, are the first candy I’ve eaten since I was under six years old – and I got to ask the cute woman sitting behind me on the bus, “Mento?” She said no. :frowning:

I like them, but I have real sensitive teeth with deep grooves, so the gum gets stuck inside the grooves and makes my teeth hurt like crazy.

So usually I will see some gummis and be all “mmm gummis!” then eat a few then my mouth hurts like omgfuckOW! and I gotta stop eating gummis.

I don’t like peaches or peach flavor, but the best gummis I’ve ever had was a bag of peach gummi loops last month. You know, the ones coated in big sugar crystals? I ate the whole bag in a day’s work. Now that I think about it, it was more like one hour. If shame has a taste it must be that of either a whole bag of peach gummi loops or a box of Thin Mint Girl Scout cookies.

I like a few particular kinds–Haribo pesetos and the grapefruit especially, but I can take or leave most kinds. If it’s a Haribo bag, I’ll at least give it a good try. And then the little jingle will stay in my head for hours.

Luk op for noget godt, luk up for Haribo–den er go’!
