This was inspired by this thread . I remember that I was fascinated the first time I saw my boyfriend shave. It was as if I realized I really was a part of his life, if I could sit back and watch him do such a mundane thing. Any one else experience this? I guess my opinion is that watching women shave is a bit more messy, but you could probably see some interesting contortions.
However, now that I’ve thought about this, maybe it was just because watching a man shave was a novelty–my only brother is 11 (though I think he’s just starting to get a bit of a 'stach) and my dad has a beard.
I always enjoyed watching my ex g/f----who is otherwise a pretty hardassed, straightforward, and unsentimental woman of the world----suddenly go “Aaah!” and clap her hands together and smile rapturously at the sight of the following:
Infants,
Sunflowers, or anything that bears the design of sunflowers,
Kitchen items (she’s a chef),
A crafts store she’s never been in.
It was always such a pleasure to see such innocent and feminine reactions from her, especially since she was prone to physically pushing women she thought were flirting with me or running her home kitchen on holiday dinners as if she had taken management lessons from a Marine drill instructor.
I love to harass mine when he’s trying to do his schoolwork. I really don’t want to bother him, but he looks so cute when he’s working that I have a hard time helping myself.
My ex always liked seeing me do my “kitty voice.” In fact, my kitty voice at one point in time got him a 3rd cat.
I kinda like watching my SO work on cars…he did it a bit this summer…though I admittedly had to curb my reaction somewhat, as he was working with his dad.
I like to watch him fix things. Or work on cars… with such an intent look on his face. Its just sexy to me.
I hate to watch him shave though. It look super sloppy to me, and he misses spots, and I’m overcome with the need to take the shaver away from him and do it myself.
I’ve been banned from the bathroom when he shaves now.
Hm. On second thought, she really enjoys watching me give the dog a bath. She does the baby stuff, but the dog is all mine (man’s best friend, and all).
I sit in the shower with him wearing a fishing hat to keep the water out of my eyes, and she seems to think the bonding thing is just adorable.
Really? I’ve always found it incredibly sexy when women have tool belts. My gf is quite the hottie when she’s got the big tools out. (No, gutterbrain! I’m talking sledge hammers and jig-saws!)
And I personally find that men hit on me far more when I’ve got my industrial power tools out or if I’m working on my car. One day I was changing a squeaky belt while wearing a skirt and three male neighbours were quick to trot over to see what I was doing, and one of them brought beer! (They calimed they’d never seen a girl fiddling with a car engine before.)
My SO watches me shave with fascination sometimes.
I am always keen on watching her do girly things. After several attempts she has given up on trying to teach me to iron or fold laundry properly. But, I still like to watch her doing it.
Boy-maintenance stuff is pretty interesting–shaving and so on. I guess because I never have to do them and they’re kind of mysterious. How do you shave a chin? Is it worse than a knee? How does that belt stay up? There’s no visible support for it!
But mostly I like watching him do stuff that is specific to him personally, like when he’s writing up something on math or C++. He’s so talented in areas that I don’t get, and I think it’s great that he does them.
Ditto what a lot of the ladies say. My SO has a very strong upper body, and he looks soooo delicious when swingin’ a sledge hammer, grinding, welding or some other groovy man-thing. The welding I really like to watch, as there is a lot of pageantry to putting on the various chaps, turing on the tanks, adjusting the helmet, choosing the rod etc. etc.
Seriously, the man is stunning any way you see him.
