God I love this show. It’s one that I can’t change the channel if I stumble on it and can’t turn it off once I start watching. It’s so dramatic and exciting. The surprising thing is after watching about 1000 episodes of this and have only seen 1 or 2 people who I ever felt sorry for.
I used to love that show. I watched it every week, and would catch up when they would show the marathons. I don’t watch it anymore, however, as my current job allows me to live the “Lockup” experience for about 35 hours per week.
I wish they would spin all that programming off to a separate channel so MSNBC could be a 24/7 news channel. I don’t begrudge anyone the programming they enjoy, but I’m always disappointed on Fridays when the news disappears and Lockup starts.
It’s more like a 60 hour marathon of Lockup every weekend. It’s great! They have Lockup, Lock up Extended Stay, Lock up Raw, Lock up behind the scenes.
When I worked the night audit every weekend, I’d usually tune the office tv to the various Lockup marathons. I thought it was pretty interesting, but I didn’t have to pay close attention, so no big loss if I had to check in guests or answer the phone or otherwise, you know, work. Over the course of two years, I’ve seen every episode multiple times. So I’d say yes, I did find it interesting, but BTDT now.
