I’ll be voting this week early, as I have to work all day on Election Day. I live in Ohio and early in person voting starts tomorrow.
Dropped mine off at city hall yesterday afternoon. It felt good and there was even an I voted sticker in the envelope the ballot came in.
In Arizona we don’t have that postmark counts business; the ballot has to be in the control of the county registrar by the close of the polls on election day – dropped off at a poll counts. The news last night says a third of the ballots out there had been received.
A couple things different this year, at least for Maricopa county. As the early ballots come in they are verified and tabulated. Any results will not be released until after the polls close, but any ballot received by close of business Sunday evening will be included in the initial report after the polls close. Ballots received Monday and Tuesday will have to wait until Wednesday for the verification/tabulation process.
