I love MPSIMS…
sometimes we all need a bit of the mundane and pointless… I Start with IMHO, then move to MPSIMS… then Cafe Society… almost daily
Depeneding how much time I have… I will go over to General Questions or Great Debates…
but I can find something interesting in every forum…
MPSIMS is the best part of the SDMB, for sure. I’m still upset they pulled Cafe Society out of it. MPSIMS & Cafe Society together have nearly double the number of GQ posts, a clear indication of popularity.

Then of course while it’s there someone will have to post that they never post or read in MPSIMS. 
Well, not all the topics there require one to post immediatly afterward. I browse and reply to topics there like I would in any other forum: Namely I take my time.
But yes, the topics do go fairly fast in there and by the time you do post again, 100 repsonses have already gone by…
I guess those that post in there regularly are just used to it.
I like MPSIMS, IMHO, GQ and Cafe Society.
Oh, Flammie! You leave us with sooo much opportunity for mischief with that remark. However, I’ll be nice and just drop the idea.
I like IMHO, MPSIMS, Cafe Society and on occasion, The Pit. Seldom do I visit the others. If I had unlimited time I might.
I think different members come to the SDMB for different reasons.
I come here for fun, relaxation, and generally a lighthearted exchange of ideas. Then there’s the occasional comment in The Pit, if the thread’s subject is something I have knowledge about. (Seldom happens)

Hmm… I must admit it wasn’t the most original construct. I may have seen it here as “someone posts like a hamster on crack,” or somewhere else. (I’m not too sure)
But if you’re thinking about the kind of thing that I am, then yes… best to leave it all alone.

Simply put, I don’t keep up with everything in MPSIMS. I can’t. There isn’t enough time in the day. Hell, there isn’t enough time in TWO days to catch one day’s SIMS postings.
But I have been known to post once or twice in MPSIMS…

I’m a regular in MPSIMS. Since I start the day with “View New Posts”, I get a smattering of all of the fora. I rarely have anything to contribute to GQ. Hell, QED knows everything before I ever get there.
I don’t even stick my toe into GD. Waaaay to heady for me.
Like FairyChatMom, I come here to relax and share ideas with similarly minded people. I’m too pooped to write a thesis on the existence of God in Todays Modern Society. I prefer to kick my shoes off and share mundane and pointless stuff with 30,000 of my closest friends.
Unfortunately, MPSIMS is not the forum to “keep up with”. There aren’t enough hours in the day to read each post as it moves too fast. It even cooks with gas in the wee hours of the morning when some of us should be in bed. <ahem>
I generally read a bit of MPSIMS but I don’t reply as often as I might. There are usually so many posts under any particular subject that I tend to get too tired from just reading them or I figure my post is not needed with so many already there. If anything, MPSIMS seems too popular for my taste.
I at least LOOK at all the boards, though I must admit I almost never read topics in GD.
I think I read topics most often in Cafe Society, IMHO, and MPSIMS, and though I’m not a big time poster, I likewise most often post in the same. Can’t say why precisely I find myself reading and posting most often to those particular ones.
Yeah, usually I hit MPSIMS first, then IMHO then Cafe Society, GQ, and the Pit.
