I shower every day before work as a courtesy to my co-workers. Many years ago my boss at my first office job kindly suggested that I might need to change my deodorant, so I realized that a morning shower before work is not optional.
On weekends, I skip a day, or two, if I’m just hanging around the house. In the summer when it’s hot and I’m sweaty because I don’t have a/c I have a quick shower to cool down and rinse off before bed, and then again in the morning before work.
I have to wash my hair every three days. On those days I take a shower. On the in-between days, sometimes I take a bath instead of a shower, because I like them, but everything gets soaped up and rinsed. Baths are as thorough as showers, and sometimes I take bubbles baths, and do a quick rinse with the hand held showerhead.
I cannot leave the house without a bath or shower.
Very occasionally I skip one, if I am sick and spending the day in bed and not going any place. When we had well water, and it occasionally went out, and I had to bathe in a basin with a couple gallons of bottled water heated on the stove, it was hell.
Roughly once a day. There is always the odd Saturday where I just don’t feel like it, but those are rare. I shave in the shower (whole head) roughly every other day. If I don’t shower I just feel, as FCM said, grungy.
I work at home, alone, so don’t need to shower every day. And I no longer sweat like a pig all the time, like I did before getting central air installed. Plus, my partner prefers me to have a somewhat “manly” aroma.
At the various living history events I do it often isn’t possible and sometimes during the winter when weekends are basically “around the house” I won’t bother. But for normal work days, yes - once a day or more.
When I worked I showered every day, sine I retired more like every other day. Once in a while I skip 2 days in a row now. But I am not a sweater, in humid weather every day.
No, I shower every other day b/c our water is so hard my skin . When I turn my water on sometime is smell like bleach ! When I was health aide I had clients that had sponge bath most days and a shower once a week . The water is too hard on elderly people .
I shower twice a week unless it’s been hot or I’ve been exerting myself. Most body odor comes from clothing, so I always wear clean shirts, socks, and underwear.
