Do you smoke? And how much?

I smoke. Like a chimney. Two packs a day. See, I can, because I can smoke in my truck. Anyway, I want to know who smokes and who doesn’t. And, yes, I know it’s bad for my health.

About 2/3 of a pack a day for me. I guess that means I smoke like a, uh, like a toaster I guess.

I heard it’s bad for your health too. Probably mine as well.

I’ve taken exactly one drag off a cigarette, when I was 18.

Last week, I smoked a cigar for the first time. It wasn’t bad, and I’ll probably smoke another at some point, but I definitely won’t be making a habit out of it.

So I guess you could count me as a non-smoker.

I’m about 20-25 a day.

I SO need to stop.

Grrrrrrrrr to think I only took up smoking to annoy my father and he gave up years ago.

I am not (and never was) a smoker. But I enjoyed one cigarette with a bunch of Spaniards at a party in Spain this year, and it was pretty good! But I can take it or leave it. And choose to not smoke.

Absolute non smoker. I hate it.

Another non-smoker. It’s the smell more than anything else that annoys me.

I have been smoking on and off for 18 years now. I would never smoke more than a pack a day.

Now, I only smoke when I drink. I got drunk alone last night and smoked up about 1/2 a pack before passing out. Today, I have not touched them.

Now, I am trying to stop the drinking.

GRADY

I smoke at least a pack a day, more if I’m drinking.
(What is it about smoking and drinking anyway? Why does everyone have to do it at the same time??)

Yes. Almost a pack a day, edging toward a whole pack (but trying not to).

I smoke about 20-30 smokes a day. I used to smoke Newport for about 25 years, then about a year ago, I switched to buying cans of Zig Zag menthol tobacco. A ten dollar can will last longer than a forty dollar carton of Newports, and its way better quality tobacco then generics. Actually, I bought a pack of Newport last week, and they didn’t taste as good as the hand rolled smokes.

Nup, never have smoked, never intend to start. Doesn’t really bother me when others do, unless we’re in a confined space, in which case it can be kind of bad. I figure that given how bad my diet is, I can’t really afford to take the high health ground (if there is such a thing).

Oh, how I curse Sir Walter Raleigh, (he was such a stupid git)
As of yesterday, I’m a non-smoker. Now, I’ve quit before. several times. My downfall has always been going out for a drink, and “just having one”. I know this about me, and I’m gonna try to avoid that trap, again. I’m using the patches. I don’t know just how many a day I was smoking, cause I took to handrolling a few years ago, when the price per pack went up to 3 dollars. In Canadia, where I am now, the price is 7 dollars, plus, Canadian.
It just seemed like the time was ripe. Wish me luck, I’ll need it.
I AM gonna miss drinking for a while, ((Damnit))

Pack a day, two packs if I’m drinking. Hate it.

I only have one or two every couple of months. And I STILL get grief for it.

About 20 a day, 30 or 40 if I’m drinking. Enjoy probably 5 of them.

You know, on New Year’s eve of 1999—going into 2000, they had all that coverage, the all day long thing with Peter Jennings about what the “turn of the Millenium” really meant. Some talking head said there would be a cure for cancer in the next 10 years. If there’s a cure coming, why quit? That’s how I feel about it.

non smoker…

Rarely. About one every three or four months. I figure it’ll take a few hundred years to kill me at that rate.

Yeah, like THATS gonna happen. When I was a kid in the 70s, I thought that we would have robot slaves and flying cars that folded up into briefcases by the year 2000. I think there’s a better chance of getting robot slaves before a miracle cancer cure is invented.
