Yes, that was my impression as well till I bumped into her at the SDMB wine club. Now that I’m writing my dissertation (which generally means staying home surfing the net and watching Animal Planet.) I seem to run into her all the time. I wouldn’t have noticed before, but I would notice now.
I think I would be noticed in various kinds of threads I tend to frequent, but I doubt anyone just be out walking one day and suddenly go “Hmmm I wonder where Improv Geek is? He hasn’t posted in a while.”

:smack: Aw crap, I knew I forgot something. I had issues at work and I didn’t even check my calendar. I got a call while I was at home that my cashier for tonight called in, so I had to find coverage and shuffle some employees around.
Well doesn’t that just suck.

No, not me. I post mostly in cat threads and sympathy/celebration threads and Florida threads. Most of the friends I’ve made here are members of satellite boards and would probably notice if I stopped posting on those boards much more than here. I stopped posting here for almost a year and no one ever posted “Whatever happened to…” for me.
LouisB, I think I’d notice if you were gone, because I kind of keep mental tabs on the other Floridopers.
I’d like to think somebody would notice something missing from the patio.

Nup. I’m a bigger reader than poster. But there are a plethora of posters I would miss if they stopped posting.
I regularly start threads for a number of TV shows, so somebody might say, “hey, where is she? She should have put that thing up by now…”

Well people would get a lot of chemistry stuff wrong if I weren’t here but I don’t think they’d know it 'cause no one would tell them.
OK I’m not that integral, and real chemistry problems rarely come up but sometimes I feel like they need a little push in the right direction to get it right.
