Do You Use Stat Counter For Your Blog Stats?

If so, how do you keep from adding yourself to the page hits?

After I publish, I sometimes find it necessary to go back and edit several times and that skews my totals, so I was wondering if there is something I can do to avoid this?

Thanks

I use a Bravenet counter, which allows me to set it to ignore my own hits.

I use Wordpress, which ignores my own hits (when I am logged in, of course).

There are two ways. Click on the little wrench, then click the first link to block your IP address, or click the 5th link to create a blocking cookie. It will save a cookie with your browser that tells it not to record your visits. If you visit from other browsers or computers or maybe your phone, you’ll need to visit that page with each of them so they will all be blocked.

Since the OP is seeking personal experiences, this is better suited to IMHO than GQ.

In Blogger, you can go to your blog settings, then Stats. There, under the list of Pageviews sorted by various time increments, you’ll see a link that says “Don’t track your own pageviews.” That’s the link you want.

I found that, Stars, thanks!
