Do you wear socks when you sleep?

I hate socks and avoid them if possible. But if it is bitter cold I do what I have to do.

Strangely, I did like the footy pajamas as a wee lad.

It seems I like to be either completely unencumbered or wrapped up like a sausage.

I voted “never”. In fact I have done so on a very few occasions when it has been extremely cold. Normally, even in quite cold conditions, I would find it both too hot and uncomfortable in other ways.

I have these for stepping out to get mail/do laundry/other things I might want a shoe-like sole for, and I have these for around the house.

I prefer no socks for sleeping, but I tend to kick my covers off and if it’s chilly my toes get cold and that wakes me up. So if it’s chilly in the bedroom I wear socks to bed. I almost always wear the fuzzy slippers unless I’m in bed or camped out on the couch, I don’t put shoe-like things on furniture so slip out of them and leave them on the floor.

No, but I do use a hot water bottle in winter. My feet are always cold, and I find putting socks on cold feet doesn’t do anything.

Only if it’s cold enough that I’m unwilling to take my socks off before putting my feet between the chilly sheets but not cold enough that I decide to get a hot water bottle.

In winter, sometimes, when it’s cold enough. Not otherwise.

Nope, never have.

I usually end up sticking my feet out of the end of the bed. I just like the contrast of cold feet and warm cozy rest of me I guess.

Is it weird if I never ever ever even wear socks at home no matter what? I also wear pajama pants normally but I’ll usually put on jeans if I’m expecting apartment maintenance or something, but I still won’t wear socks or, god forbid, shoes. If you’re coming to my house for any reason, you’re going to see my bare feet.

Don’t get the wrong idea, I’ll always be freshly showered and makeuped, but socks and shoes and real pants? You must have gotten the wrong address.

I’d say never, but I guess there have been a few times in my life when I had the flu and was shivering uncontrollably, despite multiple comforters on the bed, while wearing sweats and socks. But excluding those few times, I’ve never worn socks to bed. I’ve slept naked every night for the last 20-25 years, including my feet.

I wear socks, long sleeve loose shirt and PJ pants. But, I don’t use any covers at all. No sheet, no blanket, nothing.

I hate having things on my feet. Specifically, any type of pressure on the tips of my toes drives me bananas if I don’t have something else going on to distract me. This started with a nightmare I had as a kid involving a monster that looked rather like cookie monster with solid black eyes and wicked teeth. He didn’t bite, just tickled my toes. Never have been right since

I usually wear socks to bed. It’s freaking freezing here in this climate for about 7 to 9 months of the year, and it sometimes gets so cold in the winter that I have to have the heat turned to full, AND sleep with socks AND a hoodie on.

If it’s really warm in the summer, I will sometimes skip the socks.

I voted “sometimes” - I can’t sleep when my feet are cold and every once in a while, the only thing that will help my tootsies is a nice pair of socks.

Often during the winter, rarely otherwise.

Socks? More like foot prisons. No thank you. Some guys come home and immediately take off their pants. I come home and shed shoes and socks.

I tried once or twice, but every time I rolled over or moved my legs up or down, the socks would shift and twist. No matter how I tried to ignore it, I could never stand the feeling of my socks being “out of place.” This is also why I don’t sleep in pajamas–short gowns only–because the pj legs do the same thing and it drives me bonkers!

I only do it when its cold. I fail to see the point if its not cold

I live in Scotland and it is NEVER cold enough to need socks in bed.

i only sleep butt nekkid

I’m sorry but I don’t think it’s going to work out between us.

You, perhaps.

How cold is it?

In the winter, the room/my feet are usually cold enough to warrant it.

In the summer, it’s usually too hot to sleep with socks on.

Of course, there have been days in fall/winter when the radiators are on overdrive and I end up taking my socks off because I’m too hot.

I have two different pair of fuzzy bed socks/slipper socks. I usually don’t wear walking-around socks to bed.
