One detail that needs to be factored in IMHO is that many of those who are over are WAY over, those adults that are under can generally be at most 50 pounds under. IOW, the poll here isn’t exactly scientific. Of course you could also point out that there’s a general lack of children who post, and the fact that the average message board users probably are on the heavy side of average.

Most full grown males will be over 140 pretty easily. I am, and I’m still pretty scrawny for my height (which, keep in mind, the average of has increased since that time period, so it would stand to reason the average weight has as well).
