Doctor, it hurts when I do this in the MMP!

Hey now. I leave for a little bit and you try to give away my nickname?!? ;):stuck_out_tongue:

You know, I do try to participate but it’s very hard for me to keep up.

Have I mentioned all the fun and excitement to you guys?

Because I am a pokes chest proudly an overachiever, in the next 5 months I’m going to be getting married, buying a house, and having weight loss surgery. If I’m lucky I might even get to throw in laproscopic knee repair! As you might have guessed, right now my middle name is STRESS.

Do you know how to tell carpenter ants from other kinds? They leave little bitty beer cans. This is a joke my hubs tells with a chuckle every time.

Howdy Y’all! Home from a very wonder Agape Supper over to St. John’s and St. Mark’s church. The church is two smaller congregations who came together to make a bigger one. Anywho, much good food, much good wine, much good laughter, much good times. Oh, yeah, The Eucharist was good as well. We’re later than usual gettin’ home because of my much mouth runnin’ with some folks I don’t get to see very often. A good time was had by all.

StickyBuns we can have you and a stick. However Stick is officially Bulldog. Dang, you gotta whole lotta stuff goin’ on!

{{{Midget}}} here’s my favorite version of Soft Kitty to cheer you up.

OK, I shall surf a couple places on teh intartoobz and then it’s sleepy bye time.

Nighty Nite Y’all!

Sticky Buns my middle name is Stress too. In my present irk this has been the worst month I can remember ever. What can/could go wrong has/will. Congrats on impending events.

“Fever” is far too cool.
Go with “Booger”.

Now I need a hug or two. My best friend asked me to help her procure flights to say her last goodbye to a dying friend. Her original date of departure was Monday but I found a half price flight for today. Her friend died before she got there and now I feel it’s my fault cause had she stuck to the Monday flight she could have been there. In a way I know it’s not my fault but still it is true.

I have felt that many things were my fault, like buying my motorcycle that Dad was killed on.
They weren’t, and neither were yours.

{{{{{{Buttercup}}}}}}

Today was a pretty good day for us. We got the car inspected (as is required yearly), and though it passed by the skin of its teeth (the rear brake pads and rear left tire need replaced soon), it did pass, needing only a replacement headlight and a-- buffing?-- polishing?-- of both headlight outer surfaces.

And I’ve been approved to receive Social Security disability. Next step is to set up an appointment with the local Social Security office, where they go over my current assets or… something.

So the last couple of Wednesdays:
Severe storms sent everyone to get their kids, leaving me alone
Multiple illnesses left me scrambling for help
and today, my one assistant broke down into tears when I told her she couldn’t fix her car on the clock.:dubious:
Wednesday is now my Monday.

I had one get infected and swell up. But spending all day in a saltwater pool, drinking beer cured the infection.

That’s what she said! And officially welcome, Fever!

Ignore him, he’s from Arkansas.

Stickey! : tacklehug : And congrats!

Butters , not your fault, you couldn’t schedule death.

{{{{Midget}}}}

**Sticky **- many congrats!! If you could throw giving birth into the mix, you’d have a stress mega-fecta!! At the least, I hope you enjoy the marrying and house-buying part of the next 5 months. Surgicals, not so much…

I had another of *those *nights, waking before 2 and not falling back to sleep till well after 3, so I’s tahred! But I do have work waiting on my desk, so there’s that. And it’ll be another day in the 70s - windows open already to let fresh air into the house. Huzzah! And it’s almost Firday, so that works, too!

Happy Thursday!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 53 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 82 and partly cloudy for the day. The weather PTB say rain comin’ in tonight and all day the next three days. We shall see. They have not done a good job on this lately.

{{{Butters}}} like doggio said. You cannot schedule death.

Today is Maundy Thursday for those who keep up. Thus we shall attend service tonight over to the church house. Dindin shall be deli take out cause I’m too lazy to cook.

OK, I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence. At least 'tis my Firday today.

Happy Thursday Y’all!

Oh Buttercup I’m so sorry for you and your friend. It isn’t your fault - we can’t know these things, and if money hadn’t been an issue (it truly is, and it sucks when it is, but there’s no sense pretending otherwise) then she wouldn’t have needed your help with the flight at all. Pretend you are your own friend, and be nice to yourself.

Oof. Up at hella early (again, from my perspective) and heading off on a two+ hour drive to a conference. Hope the topics and company and food are decent, but regardless, it’s a long day!

All y’all talk too much in the morning. tl;dr
I haven’t even had coffee yet. Blurf!

{{{{{{Butters}}}}} You just found the dates and fare. Your friend had to make the decision to wait…so feel sad if you must, but don’t blame yourself.

Thunder-Boomers due this afternoon, but I brought my 5 Guys card (Xmas gift) with me today so I hope it holds off until then. Scattered showers are scattered overhead right at the moment, but they’ll go away shortly.

Been trying to pass work over to my colleagues so that when I leave they will be up to date and able to take over. This means even less work for me, which is a good thing, I guess. Had a guy in the office (contractor) approach me and mention his employer is hiring, but I told him I’m not interested until the fall at the earliest (besides, I’d probably have to wear a tie and that is one thing I will not do).

All y’all folks will illness and hurts…Stay Off My Lawn!..err, I mean, get well soon.:p:D

Do they show off little butt cracks, too?

Up, caffeinated and sheveled. Closing shift tonight.

Those are plumber ants, dummy.
:dubious:

Its Michigan and typical Michigan weather started with snow yesterday morning, changing quickly to rain for the morning and part of the afternoon which changed into heavy snow…which of course eventually changed into an small ice storm…

Fun in Paradise!

It was a slushy mess when the heavy snow started in. Now its just a frozen cover over slushy mess

The highway however is clean since I see everyone flying by. Nothing’s open though, all the schools are closed and any other weirdo event.

Been up and productive for a bit so I’m rewarding myself with some extra Dope time. I haven’t seen much to comment on but I’m finding a lot of good reading.

Speaking of which, in the last week I’ve gone through the four “Old Man’s War” books of John Scalzi. If you liked Starship Troopers you will enjoy this set as well. He even gets a reference to Troopers worked into one; a couple lines reflecting the differences between the book and the movies. Just be sure to read “Old Man’s War” first - it really sets up the next three quite well.

Ruble I like Scalzi as well. I also enjoyed Redshirt.

Rosie I begin to suspect we are twins separated at birth. All y’all are morning people apparently, except me and Rosie. I just can’t morning today. Also, blurf.

Back laters.
