"Documented" cases of man viewing porn, discovering daughter or son performing in it?

Something tells me it was the Ron Jeremy part that was icky, not the breast-sucking.

I was at a nightclub the other week and some bloke was introduced to me who owned some other bar and club down the street. He had his arms around one of the girls I was with and he pulled her top down with a sly grin to expose her breast. The girl didn’t seem to mind too much.

I said to him… “Man, there is simply no way I could ever do that without my face getting slapped!” and he said something about it’s all in the way you go about it blah blah blah. I looked at the girl and she kinda looked a bit of a lost soul to be honest.

I got to thinking about it during the week. In the context of this thread, my little girl is only 3 years of age, but it occurred to me that if my daughter ever felt it was perfectly OK for some guy to pull down her top in a nightclub and expose her breast, I’d be really disappointed in my efforts as a dad, you know? I mean, it’s all about self esteem, in my opinion. No woman with any self esteem should accept that sort of behaviour. And that’s the way I feel about appearing in porn too.

That being said, I’ve seen my share of porn over the years so clearly I have double standards.

I don’t know of family members discovering it, but there was a documented case of University of Indiana dorm residents recognizing their dorm in a porn flick (though none of the practitioners) and somehow it came to the attention of the powers that be at Ft. Benning that some of their privates were making money with their privates for a local gay porn producer (in a highly successful series of videos at that).

It’s pretty common when hearing porn stars interviewed on radio shows and in magazines for them to discuss if their parents knew or not. In many cases the answer is something along the lines of “I never told them, but one of my dad’s friends clued him in.”

Certainly this is a long ways from documented evidence, but it doesn’t stretch credibility IMHO.

Sunny McKay’s career was covered on one local prime-time “current affairs” show many years ago, and her parents appeared in the interview saying they watch all her work. They then showed good ol’ Mom and Pop sitting on the couch apparently watching one of her videos and making comments like “Her hair looks good like that, doesn’t it”. Very disturbing indeed - that’s the only explanation I have for her name being burned into my brain.

Well, I’m glad you at least understand that you have a double standard. A lot of people with your feelings don’t recognize that they have one. My feeling is, if they’re good enough for you to lust about and so forth, they’re good enough for your respect. If you can’t respect the women in the sex industry, don’t watch porn, go to strip clubs or patronize hookers. This is probably the least followed advice in the world. The thing is, if guys would just respect women in the sex industry, there wouid be no double standard. But any amount of hypocrisy, rather than that.

Okay, I’m tired and the portion of my brain that handles acronyms burned out 4 hours ago but are you telling me that there was an Air Combat Command issue of playboy?

Bolding mine obvious. Now that’s an issue I’d definitely want to hunt down.

Several of my former students have gone one to careers in the sex industry. One, who keeps in touch with me, works as a dominatrix and stripper. Her parents don’t know, according to her.
An old live-in GF of mine is apparently doing amateur stuff. I can only presume her parents, who are devout old-fashioned Roman Catholics, do not know.

I suspect that what he’s referencing is one of their college issues-featuring the girls of the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Girls from Atlantic Coast Conference schools. (e.g.- Duke, UNC, etc.)

It’s unconfirmable, but suypposedly during the chaos of Weimar Berlin, one gentleman hired a pimp to send a prostitute to his room one night, only to find out it was his own teenage daughter!

I don’t think that’s a double standard. Persumably the girl in the nightclub wasn’t asked if it was okay to have her breast exposed, the guy just did it. That is disrespectful on the part of the guy who did it, regardless of whether or not the girl minded after the fact.

OTOH, women in porn, presumably, have consented in advance to baring their all in public.

Chris Rock says that as a father of a little girl his main job is to keep her off the pole. Words to live by.

A girl I know is actually going to be the Playmate of the Month in April. Her parents know; I think Playboy may even have interviewed them.

There are a lot of tales like that.

Gah, I’d forgotton about this until you mentioned it… at my Dad’s H.S. reunion, there was an old classmate of his there that had gone to a convention in town some years before, he and two others had some prostitutes come up, and in walked three women, one the conventioneer’s wife.

You want documented cases?

Well, there’s the Simpsons episode where Skinner is about to marry Agnes. For his bachelor party, the stripper’s manager advertises “If we send your daughter, it’s free!” He wouldn’t have a policy if it never happened, right?

Then there’s the Twin Peaks episode where Sherilyn Fenn’s character (who can tie a knot in a cherry stem with her tongue) is working at One-Eyed Jack’s under a pseudonym, and almost gets her own father as a client.

See? It happens.

Yes, but this one was contemporary in Weimar Berlin.

I remember such a case from a woman’s magazine in the UK, a daughter was discovered to be a porn actress when her parents popped a tape in the VCR infront of some guests.

That’s about as documented as I can remember

You wrote it here so now it’s documented.
